The Tanzania Zambia Railways Authority TAZARA says it will cancel all passenger trains from 30th March 2020 till further notice.
TAZARA Head of Public Relations Conrad Simuchile explains the cancellation of the two passenger trains Mukuba and Kilimanjaro respectively, is until further notice in a bid to prevent and control coronavirus.
The TAZARA Head of Public Relations in a statement however said freight train operations have not been affected by this change.
He has since advised passengers to take note of the new operational schedule by the authority in the two countries.
Zambia and Tanzania have not been spared by the COVID19 virus with according to the Zambian government, 28 cases of the pandemic have been confirmed in the country as of today.
