The Centre for Trade Policy and Development CTPD says de-politicizing of the gold mining sector in Zambia is the first step in crafting a formidable Gold game plan.
CTPD Senior Researcher Extractives Webby Banda says Political involvement at any level of the value chain will overshadow any strategy to transform Gold into a strategic mineral.
Mr. Banda has told Christian Voice News that Government should exhibit selflessness in the management process, saying that gold should induce macroeconomic stability and alleviate poverty levels.
