Diplomats Should Refrain From Meddling In Internal Affairs

July 13, 2020

Foreign diplomats accredited to Zambia’s attempt to influence Zambians to adopt alien norms such as jeering national leaders and the elderly in society is tantamount to meddling in the internal affairs of the country, and a serious breach of diplomatic etiquette.

Jeering national leaders and the elderly is not only unacceptable norm in the African society, disrespectful, but should be roundly condemned by all patriotic citizens.

We advise foreign diplomats accredited to Zambia to refrain from meddling in the internal affairs of the country, and instead focus their energies on representing the interests of their respective Governments.
