General Education Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, Jobbicks Kalumba is disappointed with some private schools, which have reportedly set their own dates for re-opening for term one in 2021.
Public concerns have arisen over some private schools’ intentions to re-open on January 4, 2021, two weeks earlier than the government set re-opening date of January 18.
Dr. Kalumba has told ZNBC News that private schools are government’s stakeholders in the education sector and should therefore NOT work in isolation.
He has since reiterated that government has set January 18, 2021 as date for re-opening of schools this year, further appealing to all schools to abide by that
