CENTRAL PROVINCE MINISTER VISITS CHAMA MUSONDA ON BEHALF OF PRESIDENT LUNGU

This morning I paid a visit to Chama Musonda,a 22 year old girl of Mukobeko area who has been battling with cancer. Chama is at the same time a second year student of Electrical Engineering at Kabwe Institute of Technology.
I was sent by His Excellency Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu to get the actual costs for Chama’s special treatment.
The President, like many of us, came to learn of Chama’s illness through social media. Being a caring President, he immediately promised to take care of Chama’s needs.
Chama has since told me that the actual cost of her treatment is K120 000. That is K10 000 per month.
I told her that the President wished her well and that he wanted her to remain faithful to God.
DR. LUNGU said ‘With God nothing is impossible, I want CHAMA MUSONDA to remain faithful by praying to God about her situation. She needs to know that she is not alone in this, we are with her and the family’.
Her brother Brian Musonda who has been taking care of her narrated how she started complaining about pain in 2017 and was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. He said she was on chemotherapy for some time at UTH but left due to financial constraints.
Mr. Musonda thanked President Lungu for the gesture and wished him Long life
