HOME AFFAIRS MINISTER Stephen Kampyongo has expressed concern with the increased levels of indiscipline among Police officers which have adversely affected the image of the institution and lost public confidence in the service.
Mr Kampyongo has implored the Zambia Police Service to embrace professionalism and impartiality as they ensure that no life is lost or displaced in the line of duty ahead of this August elections.
Mr. Kampyongo was speaking at the 2021 Commanders Conference held at Twangale Park in Chilanga.
He has directed that a comprehensive security plan be implemented to effectively guarantee public safety.
Earlier, Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja has directed provincial commanders to instill a sense of discipline among officers so that they are not found wanting.
