United Party for National Development (UPND) strongman Hakainde Hichilema is a propagandist and alarmist, says Patriotic Front (PF) Kabwata Constituency Aspiring Candidate Emmanuel Chanda.
And Mr Chanda says he will accept the outcome of the Kabwata Constituency adoption process.
Reacting to Mr Hichilema continued remarks that Zambia is in a deep crisis, Mr Chanda said the UPND leader is not being realistic.
He said Mr Hichilema is a propagandist bent on painting the governing PF black in the eyes of Zambian for his political aspiration.
Mr Chanda said as a matter of fact, the country is governable and the citizens are living happily.
“The way he (Hakainde Hichilema) is coming out…Phat is what we call playing politics. This man is a propagandist. When you look at the way he comes out…his message has failed to sink in the minds of the people. He is saying that he will fix it. Now, what are you going to fix? Be specific, because President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has already fixed it,” he said, “Hichilema should talk about something else because in terms of Governance, the people are happy, no one is above the law, we are under the rule of law and there is no crisis.”
Mr Chanda who served as Councilor in the Libala Ward 7 is pegged as the most experienced politicians among the aspiring candidates for Kabwata Constituency.
He says he will ensure that he takes development to all parts of Kabwata Constituency.
According to Mr Chanda, while Kabwata Constituency is considered one of the most developed areas in Zambia, it is lacking in some areas.
“If you look at our people in Gondwe Compound in Lilayi area, you will feel sorry for them because the water they are drinking, leaves much to be desired. We have to find solutions for our people in this compound,” he said adding that Community Hall in Kabwata Constituency need to be rehabilitated as they are in ramshackle affair.
Asked what is next course of action will be in an event that he is not adopted to stand on the PF ticket on the August 12 General Elections, Mr Chanda said he will remain loyal to the party.
The Kabwata Constituency Aspiring Candidate added that he will work with any candidate who will be adopted provided they accommodate him.
“In 2016, I did not get adoption as a Councilor but where did I go? I am still in the mighty Patriotic Front. So, what can make me join another party or stand as an independent candidate if I am not adopted,” he asked.
