We have noted with dismay how some political cadres are being used as tools of political violence during the run-up to the August 12 polls.
We also wish to condemn in the strongest terms the pockets of political violence reported in various parts of the country perpetuated by cadres, some of which has resulted in fatalities.
We expect leaders of various political parties to emulate President Edgar Lungu who often condemns political violence at every fora as this is the only way to tame political cadres from getting involved in political violence.
We advise the youth to desist from from being used as tools of political violence by their Party leaders as violence does not pay and scares away prospective voters from exercising their rights to vote for candidates of their choice.
We are now calling upon the Police High Command to crack down and bring to book the perpetrators of violence regardless of their status in society and political affiliation.
