UNPROVOKED ATTACKS BY UPND CADRES ON PF MEMBERS IN WESTERN PROVINCE CONDEMNED.

We condemn in the strongest terms the unprovoked attacks on our party members and damage to property by violent and unruly UPND cadres with the latest in Nkeyema District where a PF camp was raided and burnt down in the early hours of this morning.

Not long ago, UPND cadres on instructions from their adopted candidates in Nalikwanda Constituency in Mongu District attacked and murdered a PF member in cold blood.

In Kaoma District, the UPND cadres again raided the PF Kaoma District office damaging the office building, burning office furniture and assaulting party members.

Yesterday, the PF Sioma parliamentary candidate Hon Nancy Mbololwa Subulwa was attacked by UPND cadres damaging her two campaign vehicles.

PF members in Western Province are conducting issue based door to door campaigns peacefully, observing the electoral code of conduct, while strictly observing public health guidelines on Covid 19 pandemic as directed by our party President who is also Republican President Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

In view of the foregoing, the PF leadership in Western Province is calling upon the Police High Command to quickly bring to book the UPND cadres involved in the aforementioned unprovoked acts of violence, damage to property as well as the murder of the PF member in Nalikwanda.

I call upon the rank and file of PF in Western Province to remain calm and not retaliate to the unprovoked attacks on our party members by UPND as directed by President Lungu for all PF members nationwide to be peaceful before, during and after the August 12 polls.
