Emmanuel Mwamba Withdraws From Primaries

ZAMBIA’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba has withdrawn his application in the Matero Primaries.
In his address in Chinsali, President Edgar Lungu directed that all civil servants and public officials seeking to go into politics should choose between politics or resign their positions immediately.
President Lungu affirmed the earlier statement issued by his Spokesperson Amos Chanda on the same matter.
In his letter dated 15th March 2016 to the Matero Constituency Committee, Mwamba stated that he had heeded to the directive made by President Edgar Lungu and withdrew his application immediately.
The Patriotic Front has been conducting primaries to establish and adopt candidates for Councillors, Executive Mayors and Chairman and Members of Parliament.

Honestly how does someone leave the position of his excellency the high commissioner only to seek to be adopted as a member of parliament. This is why Daniel Munkombwe once said we go into politics to eat. Now i understand.

Does it mean he didnt know that as serving civil servant you not obliged to stand,or as usual he wanted to be canny? The problem with Mwamba is he thinks he is clever. Watch him, should Lungu win,he will leave him jobless because his conduct undermins the directives Lungu gave through his spokesman. And i find lungu to be someone amasungilila kambala.

Leadership is about serving the people as even in the bible,Jesus Christ came down to help the people and hence agreed to carry the heaviest weight of dying on the cross. You cannot make a decision to help the people when the interest is to help yourself!! People shall not agree to be fooled by people like you, we need serious contenders for all the positions on offer.
