SATA To Hold Press Conference At State House Tomorrow 9/29

Republican President, Michael Sata will tomorrow, Thursday, 9/29, address a press conference at State House at 11:00 hours.
Sata is expected to name a solid small cabinet with some ministries from the former regime (MMD) being scrapped off.
Permanent Secretaries and Defence commanders are expected to be replaced.
Members of the Press are requested to be seated by 10:30 hours. This is contained in a press statement release by Principle Private Secretary to the President Mr Francis Chalabesa.
Both local and foreign journalists are invited to cover the press conference and should submit their names through the Press Office at Zambia News and Information Services at the Mass Media Complex.
HAVE YOUR SAY ; Which ministries are expected to be merged ? Who are the would be contenders for the ministerial positions? Who gets the veep ?

    Ministry of Livestock back to MAFF, Gender back to Cabinet Office, Comms and transport to merge with Energy and water resources, Community Devpt under Labour and Social Security.

    Commanders + IG to be retired, also DG ZESCO, TAZARA, Priscilla Isaacs, wow the list is endless

    The ministries look very funny to me. It will be very interesting to see how government institutions will fit in. For instance National Heritage Conservation Commission. Congrats Guy Scott. We want yellow maize again, it was good for porridge

    The new cabinet has an interesting provincial representation. Zambia has 9 provinces which in my view should be reflected in the cabinet. whats your comment.
