Mr. Hichilema tells QFM news that it is important that the PF government sticks to the laws that are in place.
He says some of the decisions being made by the PF government raise a lot of questions when it comes to adhering to the laws of the land.
The UPND leader further adds that much as the UPND would want corruption to be fought effectively, it is important that the PF government sticks to the laws.
Mr. Hichilema claims that the dismissal of the Anti-corruption commission Director General Godfrey Kayukwa was not done in a lawful manner.
He says government should have set up a tribunal to deal with the matter before action could be taken.
Meanwhile Citizens Forum executive secretary Simon Kabanda says there is no need to condemn President Michael Sata on the changes he is making in the country.
Mr. Kabanda says what President Sata needs instead is support if the country is to get back on the right track.
Speaking to QFM, Mr. Kabanda notes that it had become clear during the previous MMD administration that most organizations and individuals were politically compromised thereby making it hard to act in the interest of citizens.
Mr. Kabanda says change in most of the Parastatal organizations was inevitable as they had thrown away their professionalism.
He says it is good that president Sata has given an assurance that he will not give cadres, public service positions, as was the case in the previous government.
Mr. Kabanda has since expressed optimism that the country will in the next few months see objective institutions.

HH yes my man the law could be followed but sometimes it is inevitable to quicken the pace if be it that following the law will not yield desired results. Take for instance you are travelling with ba pongoshi in your toyota carrier mr. HH. Say you are involved in an accident but fortunately you are alive but your bapongoshi is stuck and cant free herself. She is your bapongoshi but though it is a taboo to touch her mu filundwa, you have to to free her. waiting for someone who is not ba pongoshi to her may be too late. That’s the situation we are in. Just give him support meanwhile. Infact Mr. sata will do well to even give aitimatum to court sessions incurrupt related cases.

I see Mr. Hichilema is having a problem acknowledging Mr. Sata and calling him President! Instead he prefers to use the term ‘the PF Government’. Well, too bad, but it’s the reality on the ground. Mr. Michael Sata IS the President! Mr. Hichilema may as well get used to that fact!

U know U guys we wasting much typing time to talk about HH and his little fompoz.I think on this blog we should start to discuss people like Elias Jr umwaice, who seems to make a lot of sense. Can we start debating about policy and good politicians. The PF government is ours,so lets begin to discuss the issues which H.E MCS has so far tackled. This ka guy is finishing our energy.HH is forcing zambians to love him.I saw yesterday on the “new BETTER TV”,this guy is no goin’ no where. He should realise that there’s nothing handsome about Sata, but his ability to speak/deal/work on issues which we think as majority will better our lives. To be accepted HH shud concentrate on telling the people alternatives to PF policies. Its just that he is politically dull and closed minded.Look at Sata the way he treated the the failed Pact,he forgot about it and went on speaking to all including our great brothers, the Southerners. The earlier UPND changed leadership, the better or else…………..

Hi bloggers,
I know some of you were in nursery school during the one party state or maybe not even born yet.In 1991 zambia moved from one party state to a multi party democracy. For the country to function as a healthy democracy you need a vicious opposition to offer checks and balances constructively. Mind you a few months ago PF was an opposition party and because we are a democracy MMD is out and PF is in. Let HH express himself as an opposition leader. No need for insulting language to an important opposition leader as HH. Please i urge you to be respectful of your leaders ,whether in the ruling PF or the opposition MMD and UPND. You never know the plans God has for each one of us. Yesterday or some time back, some people used to say Sata would never be President. God has proved them wrong. Never say HH will never be President , you could be wrong. Change is but it should take us to greater heights as a nation. Let us live in harmony as brothers and sisters of one great nation, zambia.

You mean you do not know what HH has seen in the MMD? Ok the bible says two cannot walk together unless they be agreed. What that means is you cannot support a thief if you are not a thief. So the good thing that HH has seen in the MMD is the corruption, the looting and the plunder of the national Resources. This is because HH benefited a lot from these traits.

@hate for HH
I have read the comments about HH and a summary of them is that of hatred for him! A lesson one learns from this is that, the enemy of a Zambian is a Zambian himself! Political victories are not avenues for approving shame upon others, this is totally wrong. We are all Zambians losers and winners, HH inclusive. You expect maturity to be exhibited by winners. Let HH enjoy freely his right to participate in politics. I feel very embarrassed to see the calibre of hate blindness to blogers. The ban by the post to cover HH and UPND is enough. Assuming that HH were not wanted, we must know that even the “unwanted have worthy!”

I for one dont hate H.H. What I dont like about him is his lack of vision for the nation even as he comes out to participate in National issues. Look man there in Zambia HH would be favoured by a lot of young Zambians if he showed maturity and desency by not trying to team up with the MMD. Honestly would you spare kind words for a person who wants to team up with a person who stole from you? As for the rights yes he has all the rights that is why he is allowed if to stand for elections. Ohoo advise you brother properly you are destroying him further by telling him that people hate you.

I have been following this debate about HH since the votes were announced. Most of the comments are there to condemn HH and sadly enough most of them border on tribalism. It is sad that at this point in time we should be seen to be tribal. what we need to understand is everyone including HH has a right to express himself the way he feels like. After all if someone sees a wrong in the way the president is conducting his business, the issue is not who has reaised it, but does it make sense. I have heard and read peopkle making reference to Tongas but i dont think that should be the route in our discussions, because the people who says all these things are the worst tribalists and what to hide by calling Tongas tribal. If we are going to fight of tribla inclinations we need to all be level headed and respect each other’s tribe. There are people who cant/refuse to speak or learn other languages nd yet they point at others as tribal.
We ghhave been independent long enough to go away from this nonsense and concentrate of the substance of someone,s argument and not the tribe he or she comes from. You the owners of these blogs should be seen to end this nonsense by censoring issues that are purely powered by tribalism and yet you keep quite because you agree with such disgrantled bloggers. where and when are you going to give silent people the chance to express their disgust at this talk?

Careful analysis indicate that there a serious concerns that our dear brother HH must consider. Those who have ears listened when the masses spoke, surely is this not enough for a so called leader to embrace? You only aspire to greater hights when you are full of humility..we urge you brother to humble yourself and listen to the voice of reason, once that is done..you may begin to see some tolerance from the would be lead..start from within your party..learn to listen to them, then you will learn how to lead..and then, maybe, just may be you then rise to lead Zambia, this One Great Nation…One Zambia..One Nation…our true leaders proclaimed this out of the love for mother Zambia…take a leaf bro HH

HH
Am Proud Bemba from Mporokoso.Who voted for the man from Tonga-land, Late Great Andy Mazoka in 2001. He Brought the Nation togather.I dont have a single Tribal bone in my body and I remain convinced that that great man won the elections in 2001. What separates Mazoka from HH? And this is especially for my brothers and sisters from the South who are having a hard time understanding why HH is not doing it for the rest of the country.
1. Remeber a time when UPND had men of honour, who spoke with maturity and intelligence. who were successfull in their personal lives and socially Like Bob Sichinga, Patrick Chisanga, Given Lubinda, Mtonga, Mutesa, Sakwiba Sikota (before he lost his mind). they were such an attractive team that when they spoke, they spoke with authority. They used to produce an alternative budget.
Now what does HH have. Call-in idiots like konoso, imbuwa imbuwa. How can you send a swine like Konoso to a debate on local government with lubinda. The only answer he had was that his hands were tied he couldnt debate because PF had stolen the UPND Manisto on Local government. the rest of the debate he just kept on picking a fight with Lubinda. Lubinda,to his credit, calmly ignored most of it and made Konoso look foolish. Patrick Chisanga would have just skillfully found another angle to debate decentralisation in local governance. U send that fool Konoso to the frontline and you wonder why you lost?
2. had it not been for his pride, he would have been vice president. sata was complaining about Joe Kalusa, a Member of the UPND Executive that was constantly attacking him in the Daily mail and times when the pact was at its strongest. Due to lack of action on the part of HH, winter kabimba and guy scott started treating UPND with contempt. Sata said if they dont do anything about Kalusa he would have nothing to do with the Pact. They instead wrote a letter “granting Satas wish” went on the mountain high to tell the nation that Sata is the one who broke the pact. So they chose kalusa over the pact. Now here is how HH has failed in leadership. The man they chose to Protect-Kalusa after killing the pact, immediately joined the MMD, The Pact was distroyed, PF won and now UPND is left Looking ******.
3. When Mazoka died, my southern Brothers and sisters started sayin that only a Tonga from Monze should take over UPND. HH was born out of that noise and crazy convention they had. This left a bad taste in the mouth of many Zambians. HH’s decision not to come out and condemn this behaviour by his people will forever haunt him.
4. Listening to Dr Beyani’s statistics has been detrimental to his political career. From 2008, Beyani has been discribing how voting parttens in Lusaka are Swinging towards UPND and how PF are “Loosing Ground”. a month ago – Mandevu Sata 34 000 votes, Banda 16 000, HH 3000. not only did PF keep their strongholds, they started to enjoy good numbers in UPND strongholds that previously would never give Sata a vote. Lieing to your selves about how popular you are is a major problem. UPND should be asking itself tough questions like, why is it that the new young voters who just registered, were not even attracted to HH at all.
votes for UPND; 2006 – 25%, 2008 – 19%, 2011 – 18%. UPND is going nowhere BECAUSE
