ZAMTEL SAGA : TIZ Says Zamtel Sell Was Illegal As Dora Siliya Is Surmoned
TRANSPERANCY International Zambia-TIZ says the sale of Zamtel was illegal and that there was blatant disregard for the law when disposing off the company.
TIZ Executive Director Goodson Lungu has alleged that former Communications Minister Dora Siliya usurped the powers of Zambia Development Agency be signing a Memorandum of Understanding for the sale of the telecommunications firm.
Mr Lungu was speaking when he made a presentation before the commission of Inquiry set up to investigate the sale of Zamtel, which started sitting in Lusaka on Tuesday.
He says the former Minister did not get consent from the Zambia Procurement Authority to go ahead with the sale of Zamtel, which was blatant disregard for legal advice on the matter.
Mr Lungu also says the former Minister over committed herself by agreeing on a five percent sale commission to RP Capital for the evaluation of Zamtel assets.
Meanwhile, Commission of Inquiry Chairperson Sebastian Zulu has urged Ms Siliya to avail herself before the commission and answer the allegations leveled against her by TIZ.
Mr Zulu who is also Justice Minister says the rule of natural justice demands that Ms Siliya appears before the Commission to give her side of the story on the sale of Zamtel.

What goes up must come down. My traditional wife Bokosi was very anti-sata because she knew the money she syphoned from Zamtel. She even introduced a flip flop song for sata on ZNBC, Times and Daily Mail. Unfortunate enough all these public media have turned 360 degrees against her. Well done TIZ, thats what our hears longs for. Get her side of the story and try by all means to reverse our beloved national asset (ZAMTEL), unlike all the profit being chewed in Libya.

But wait until the commission presents its findings and Zamel is repossessed, and DPP recommends trial. My Nsenga sister will dance, and answer in court. Rb will have his immunity strippped. What ever kaHH tries will not work.

Zambians never learn. Siliya is clean. Sebastian is just getting his allowance and looking busy to divert your attention from real issues. Since Sept 20 loadsheding, fuel shortages e.g. Petauke today, corruption at R.T.S.A., poor services in hospitals, loss of jobs, depleting stocks in major wholesale warehouses, no cement in containers, and the press is very Ziiii and ndwiii about all this. Talking Dora instead of Dollars will ground our economy to its knees! Zamtel was the best sold of all companies with God even getting by getting rid of the buyer Gaddafi after we already chewed his money and the company is now ours. Why pretend? Zamtel is not sold. Its back in our hands after the major shareholder Gaddafi was dispossesd of all assets. Let’s oppose the Got not the opposition like Mmembe(housefly in Tumbuka)

I have always hoped to see this site as a clean one, but a few of our ‘learned’ colleagues are misusing it.What Dora will face may not be imprisonment. MC Sata is not vengeful.
