FORMER ZESCO MD, Rodney Sisala, Assaults Wife By CLAMPING Her Left Leg USING A GATE
Former Zesco managing director Rodney Sisala allegedly assaulted his wife by clamping her left leg with a gate.
Eunice Sisala told the court that on 14th may 2011 while at her matrimonial home in full view of her aunties and cousins Mr. Sisala assaulted her while asking her to leave the house.
She testified that she sustained a swollen wrist and bruises on her left leg but that medical examination revealed that she suffered multiple body injuries.
This is in a case in which Mr. Sisala has been dragged to court for assault occasioning actual bodily harm of his wife Eunice.

How dare he force Mrs Sisala to leave the house – she made that house into their home, the home he enjoyed coming to after many stressful days at work. The woman put her leg on the gate when he tried to close it after pushing her out. I thought it was a fresh case. I remember this case some in May last year. The problem Sisala did was marrying this wife whom I heard stories of how she used to shag some tenants to Sisala’s many flats whilst he was busy in Lusaka at Zesco. By the way thats not his first wife.

@ Munalian – clearly you were left behind in the 20th century! If you cared to join us in 21st century marriage, then you would know, that when divorce happens the wife is entitled to 50% – even the magistrates court makes these decisions nowadays.
It doesn’t matter who cheated, the fact is – a man may put the roof, buy the food, buy the clothes, etc – BUT it is a woman who makes that house a ‘home’. An oasis where men come back to relieve themselves of the pressures of work and of providing for the family. Whilst it is difficult to quantify a woman’s contribution to a man’s success, the fact is when Mr Sisala was toiling at Zesco, the wife made sure he had a nice clean house to come to, a nice bed to sleep on, food on the table, children taken care of.
So when a man decides he wants out, then HE should pack his bags and get the hell out!!!

Knowing Mr Sisala, its honestly very unfortunate that he is being labled all this. He is humble,respectiful and a gentleman of all times.Its a question of women taking advantage of a widowed man with a view of gaining economically and when a man realises that this person did not go into marriage with clean hands,then she looks for a way of embarrassing and milking him. Sadly even the witnesses are her relatives. We need to pray for him and urge him to look up to God.

I never in the life of me thought that i wud lay my hands on a woman much less my wife until i got a finger pointed on my forehead daring me to beat her if i were man enough. Jus becoz i told her to cut off some of her friends who were very well known hules in lsk. And now she has started facebooking men. I beat the crap out of her. This thing about women making yo hse a home is a myth. Maids wud cook my favourite bondwe and clean the hse while she spends the whole day at Tand T gym. Wen we separated for a month, she thot i wud not do without her, but nothing changed. Hse was emaculate, my undies were clean, food was good, kids cleaned and taken to school. Here we go again Zambia! Another battery case that’s been dismissed. Just how many times are we going to keep reading articles about men in general beating their wives? And exactly how did his wife mysteriously sustain injuries and the judge claim there was not enough evidence? These people need to start setting an example. Cases like pupils being suspended from school because they threatened a teacher are clear examples of not having enough good role models. We Zambian’s can complain and call these kids names but where are they getting this behaviour from? If it’s okay for a prominet person to do it and get away with it, then they sure feel they can too. Cases like Ruth Mbandu being killed… by the hands of men, yet it’s still going on and will probably still keep going on. Good leaders lead by example! Is this what being a role model is? Let’s start leading and setting examples so that our youth and generations to come will follow.
