MUSOKOTWANE Says ‘I Am The Best.I Stand Out Clear On How To Reform Zambia’s Economic Prospects ’

OUT of the five MMD presidential aspirants I stand out clear on how to reform Zambia’s economic prospects, says Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane.
Dr. Musokotwane said Zambia did not need someone experienced in military warfare because the approach was not relevant to the current economic dictates but one associated with knowledge on how to build the country’s economic and reduce unemployment levels.
Dr. Musokotwane who is MMD Liuwa MP urged President Michael Sata to refocus his approach to governance by addressing high levels of poverty and unemployment the country was facing by attracting both foreign and local investors rather than persecuting political opponents.
In an interview Dr. Musokotwane said Zambia had many difficulties being faced by the people among them lack of employment and high levels of poverty which was still a major economic challenge
through out the nation.
Dr. Musokotwane who is among the five MMD presidential aspiring candidates said it would be prudent for the current President to understand that poverty and unemployment could not be addressed by way of scaring away both foreign and local investors interested to invest in the country.
“The problems that we have are where you have a r company has been grabbed,” said Dr. Musokotwane.
government which scare away investors, these investors think alike, they want in countries they invest to be protected and for governments to protect such investments. They don’t want one day they wake up and find that their company has been grabbed,” said Dr. Musokotwane.
He said it could only take seven to ten years for a reasonable government to create decent jobs for its create jobs within 90 days.
people by formulating attractive foreign and local investors’ policies unlike the way the PF government was cheating the people of Zambia that it would create jobs within 90 days.
Dr. Musokotwane said leadership should be chosen on the basis of relevance at the time and not like in the old days where leaders where chosen on probability to marshal and organise the army.
He said olden days leadership choose people to lead them on the basis of being able to organise, inspire and protect its people but nowadays there was no wars and colonialists to fight.
Dr. Musokotwane said that today the biggest threat to mankind was not physical wars but unemployment and poverty coupled with diseases and lack of modern infrastructure to attract serious investors.
“Leadership should be based on how one is able to provide for its people. In short the ability to understand the modern economic challenges and how to transform problems into solutions. Zambians need a leader who can design the economy and looking at the education that I have I believe can make a difference against the current President Sata’s regime,” said Dr. Musokotwane.

Dr you are right and we all know it but as Zambians we want those who tell us lies. Look at the insults you get and yet there was collective responsibility. They are after you because you have chosen to go for the high office. We are behind you go for it and may the good Lord protect you. Zambia needs an economic manager and you are the one.

I am worried at the fact that we want presidents to only come from one region in Zambia. Where is the one Zambia One Nation people are preaching. Does it mean that it only applies to certain people. Sata spent ten years in MMD and Dr is only three years. Why should he be denied his right to presidency?

  24. Didier Zokora

    March 13, 2012 at 7:26 pm

Kaunda came from Northern, Chiluba from Northern (Luapula) and Sata from Northern (Muchinga). Banda from Eastern but highly demonised and the Angel Levy from Central. For those people calling for Nevers, Mutati and Chipimo are very unfair to their fellow Zambians. This is what caused the killings in Kenya between the Kikuyus and luo people. Bembas watch out guys other tribes are seeing.
