BREAKING NEWS!! MMD De-Registered As Political Party

The Movement for Multi Party Democracy-MMD has been de-registered by the Registrar of Societies for non compliance with the Societies Act.

Chief Registrar of Societies, Clement Andeleki says this means the former ruling party ceases to operate as a political party in Zambia and it has lost all the fifty three seats in parliament.

Mr. Andeleki says the action arises from the non payment of statutorily fees amounting over three hundred and ninety million Kwacha.

He made the announcement at a press briefing at the Ministry of Home Affairs Headquarters this morning.

Mr. Andeleki says the decision has been taken after several reminders from the time the MMD was in government.

And Mr Andeleki says he will be writing to the Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini to inform him about the de-registration of the MMD.

He has warned erring registered organisations, Churches, NGOs and political parties to be legally compliant with the Societies Act if they are to continue operating in Zambia.

I am pf but this is bad news and there is no cause to celebrate, mmd was a very irrisponsible party and despite their demise zambians still continue to pay for their irresponsibilty, president sata has nothing to do with this, this issue has been ongoing for the past two months and they have not responded, this is the reason why we are always told to vote wisely, but suprisingly people still want to vote for the party which was responsible for the hunger in this country.

As youths we have no source of income, so any by election is welcome so that we may be employed as poling agents or poling assistants or may have chance to chew some compaign money.

Give MMD a break. Most of the people who are now castigating and disgracing the party were in MMD, including Mr. Sata and Mr Scout. These pipo are also anserable to all the wrongs of the party. Just to refresh your memories Sata was at one time NEC secretary. This means that he knew it all. Why didnt he advise his friends to start settling the dates? This is typical of a snake. Remember Adam and Eve were dicieved by a serpient, and now MMD is also decieved by the so called King Cobra. Watch out Zambians. These are gymics of Dictators.Mr Sata has attributes of a dictator. he will do anything to silence the entire 12 million Zambians. On the other hand MMD was silly not to know the consequencies of not settling the dues. My advise is that allow MMD to settle there dues. So that democracy prevails in our nation. After all we are a nation with a rich slogan. One Zambia, One Nation.

All games have rules and it is very important to follow them. I am not surprised about this
de-ergistration. MMD was not paying rentals at Lusaka House and it does not come as a surprise that they were not apying subs also.

The Fact of the matter is that only 20 days more are remaining for mmd to appeal.Nothing is wrong, my brothers in mmd, follow this advice. You are allowed by the Law to air your views before the final verdict. If you become ignorant of this procedure you are all doomed, I wonder what your Legal Man Mr Kunda is doing. This is his job to advise the party the way forward. Get all your facts togather and then appeal.Prove your inocence.Which comes first here Mr Kunda, to be deregistered or to be taken to court to pay the debts.

This just shows how selfish the leaders of mmd are.can you imagine these guys have been baring billions which they never had when getting in power, building villas etc… Yet they have not been paying subs, rentals and bills.what kind of leaders are they?only direct beneficiaries of mmd would sympathise with this nonsence.
SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!! Some of these guys should even quit politics coz there have no leadership qualities.a good leader shud be able to sacrifice for his people & not only to care about there pockets.MMD LEADERS ARE A BANCH OF THIEVES.
