ONE OF WORLD’S WEALTHIEST MEN, BILL GATES IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE FIRST TIME
Microsoft Founder Bill Gates is in the country for a series of meetings.
Mr Gates one on the wealthiest men in the world was this morning at the Coptic Hospital in Lusaka for a private visit.
The American billionaire is this afternoon expected to meet Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda.
Mr. Gates visit has been characterised by tight security.
During his visit to the Coptic hospital in Northmead in Lusaka this morning, security was tight and members of the press were not allowed to take any pictures.
Mr Gates is very active in supporting the fight against malaria in Africa.
The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation supports HIV/AIDs and Malaria initiatives in Africa and Zambia inclusive
It is the largest transparently operated private foundation in the world.

Bill Gates visiting Zambia is news because of his achievements in business and contribution towards saving the lives of millions of zambians though his foundations work. If he came on a private visit before and nobody knew about it then that doesn’t mean this trip is not newsworthy. Why do Zambian’s always want to have a negative attitude towards everything?
