Lubinda Says ‘MMD Was Irresponsible’
Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda has charged that the previous MMD regime had an irresponsible land administration system.
Mr. Lubinda who is also foreign affairs minister says all the land problems that are currently being faced in the country are as a result of the weaknesses in the MMD government.
He says the MMD mostly favoured their friends in the way it distributed land in the country.
Speaking when Mahopo residents submitted their complaints,Mr. Lubinda promised that the PF government will ensure that the distribution of land is in the best interest of the people.
He has asked the people of Mahopo to be patient as the issue of their ownership of the land is being resolved.
Mr Lubinda says residents of Mahopo should not use emotions in the way they seek attention with regards the problems surrounding the ownership of the land in question.
And speaking on behalf of the residents, Mahopo Zone development committee chairman Samson Tembo said the residents have continued to be threatened by some people claiming to be the owners of the land.
Mr. Tembo said the residents have continued to live in fear because of the threats and intimidation with the help of the Zambia Police.

This ‘tourist attraction’ amazes me,Lusaka has been PF dominated and are the ones that were giving land.The ‘tourist attraction’ is not telling us how MMD was irresponsible in land distribution and how PF itself will administer.People have to compare notes.

I SUPPORT YOU MA BROS.PF SHOULD JUST GET DOWN 2 WORK.MMD IS GONE,NOW ALL THE EYES ARE ON THE PF GVMT.THE ISSUE OF MAHOPO IS BEEN LONG OVERDUE.I REMEMBER WITNESSING ONE INCIDENCE WHERE THEY PROTESTED RIT IN FRONT OF THE MINISTRY OF LANDS OFFICES.I WAS ALSO THERE WILL A SIMILAR PROBLEM WHICH HAS ALSO GONE UNRESOLVED TODATE.WE VE BEEN 2 ALMOST ALL THE OFFICES,BUT ALL EFFORTS HAVE GONE INVEIN.WE DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHICH OFFICE 2 VISIT NEXT.My brothers & sisters,it pains 2 be poor.Those offices the we see when moving along the streets of Lusaka only helps pipo with a strong financial muscle.I votted 4 d PF hopping that things were going 2 improve,but ………..

For the next 5 years PF will blaming MMD 4 their failure to perform. Surely are they going to blame MMD for the appointment of cadres as DCs. Look at the way the issue of street vending is being handled. Come on guys u can make difference.

Its becoming boring. MMD did this, MMD did that! Lets get to work and start working. You are no longer in opposition. Start seeking solutions to the problems that the country is currently facing. The moment you solve these problems, it will become very apparent to us that MMD messed up. Not you singing all the time. It is a sign of failing to performe.

The corruption at CBU is alarming. The procurement department and management have seriously looted the Govt monies. More investigation must carried out and wipe out all corrupt chaps.
