SACCORD Welcomes KK’s Help On Barotseland Agreement
The Southern Centre for the Constructive Resolutions of Disputes (SACCORD) has called on the government to come up with a committee to be chaired by the first Republican President Kenneth Kaunda to help address the Barotseland agreement issue.
SACCORD executive director Oscar Tembo has told QFM news that it is important for a committee of experts to be put in place and ensure that a solution is found that will take care of the interests of all the concerned parties in the Barotseland agreement.
Mr. Tembo has since welcomed Dr. Kaunda’s commitment to resolving the Barotseland agreement issue adding that it is time that the government found a lasting solution to the Barotseland impasse.
And Mr. Tembo has also called on the government to ensure that it makes public the Rodger Chongwe report to allow the other stakeholders in the country to study it and see what role they can play in efforts aimed at resolving the matter.
Dr. Kaunda has expressed willingness to help resolve the matter as a signatory to the Barotseland Agreement of 1964 which saw the then Barotseland and Northern Rhodesia become a unitary state called Zambia.

What can wamuyaya KK do, coz the Barotse people already know his stand, otherwise this guy will worsen the situation. I suggest, let Roger Chongwe chair, not Kaunda. KK will jst say, we are one, One Zambia,one Nation. Kaunda will be at the PF side. Y was he silent. KINAKO

Force is another option which is readily available if these people who are making noise goes too far! There are only less than 10 chaps who are making noise, the rest are just like Pawns in the game of chase. Funny enough, they said they are ready to beat the drums of war! But believe you me, they are just a bunch of useless cowards!
Let them go ahead and declare war and they shall get a rude shock! It will be shock and awe! We shall crush them be it in the sands of western province, the waters, the valleys and swamps, the skys and even if they hide in small holes, we shall smoke them out!
We are mandated to protect the interests of responsible zambia people where ever they can be in the republic of Zambia! our constitution, the supreme law of the land will guide us to stamp out any nonsense that will be perpetuated by any arresponsible person!

all ofyou opposed to balotse are jst a bunch of fools, wats wrong with its implimentation. what has western, southern, northwestern, copperbelt and other parts of balotse benefited from our minerals? look at cooper belt wat is there to bost about? Northwestern what is there to talk about? we want this issue of balotse to come like now so we can have a share of our natural resources than all the money being stolen to develop Luapula, nothern, Easten and now Muchinga at our xpence. fools. Kansanshi mine alon pays K8 billion kwacha every day in taxes, bt wat is in solwezi you thieves, Lumwana pays huge somes of money where is it going? and now kalumbila you must be serious.

KK should be called as a witness to any inquiry rather than Chair it? He is the one who tried to bury BA64 anyway? He cannot be trusted! He run the country into the ground and for a long time operated what some would call a “quasi dictatorship” (one party state). Lets not forget so quickly….
Once again, I’m disappointed by the lack of constructive debate over this issue. Insults will not get us anywhere!
