SIULAPWA Resurfaces With Support For PF Govt “SATA Should Be Given Time”

New Generation Party (NGP) president Humphrey Siulapwa has resurfaced after a seven months long absence from the country.

Mr. Siulapwa, who was a strong supporter of the then ruling party,Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) before last year’s elections, said at a press briefing in Lusaka today that his return was aimed at providing checks and balances to the ruling Patriotic Front (PF)government.

Mr. Siulapwa, who was very critical and sarcastic on President Michael Sata prior to the September 20 elections, went in a self-imposed exile in the United States of America just after voting in the general elections last year.

He has however denied reports that he went to the US to hide from the wrath of the PF government after it became apparent that President Sata and the PF would win the presidential and general elections in 2011.

Mr. Siulapwa, who left to country for USA on the same day of voting, explained that he went out to be with his family which is based in America.

He has since promised to stay in Zambia and continue providing checks and balances to government.

Mr. Siulapwa has meanwhile asked Zambians to give President Michael Sata and the Patriotic Front (PF) government enough time to address the challenges the country is facing.

He noted that Zambia is facing huge challenges of unemployment which currently stand at about 70 percent.

The NGP leader has therefore asked government to create employment especially for the youths who form the majority of Zambia’s 13 million people.

He however noted that it was too early to judge whether the PF government has failed to create employment or not, adding that it needs more time to address this issues.

He was nevertheless was quick to advise government to start putting measures that will fulfil the promises of the PF.

Remember how this man had a programme close to an hour on Stand Up Zambia just insulting anyone he was cross with? The PF was his target and MMD funded him to be the new Chama Chakomboka, and he went into hiding just after the people had spoken.Today this Foolish Man comes like a wiseman yet he is a just a job seeker when he’s got nothing to offer.Let this be a lesson to politicians with no agenda, because you will never know what comes tommorrow especially when you are dead broke.

Siulapwa, kindly join the bandwagon of MMD officials who had dominated ZNBC but are now voiceless. Before you enter into a money laundering deal with PF, kindly avail yourself to ACC and DEC to seek amnesty for plundering public funds which you were using to demonise PF and campaign for MMD. Siulapwa has a very damaged reputation such that whosoever he supports may be dented by his poor image. I advise PF to disown his support and completely disassociate themselves from Siulapwa. After all he promised to contest the presidency in 2016 after RB’s presumed end of tenure. Siulapwa, concentrate on your own party now and stop praise-singing for a little silver.
