Four People Arrested For Trafficking In DRUGS
AUTHORITIES in Monze District have arrested four people for trafficking in psychotropic substances.
The suspects have since appeared before magistrate court for trafficking in psychotropic substances contrary to section 6 cap 96 of the laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence were that Pride Malambo, Machile Manengu and Aubrey Nyirenda who are students at Rusangu University whilst jointly acting together did traffic in psychotropic substances namely 40 grammes of marijuana, a herbal product of cannabis sativa without lawful authority.
Magistrate in charge Davis Chibwili deferred the matter to May 7, 2012 for mention and May 28, 2012 for trial while the three suspects remain in police custody.

Sad development. Rusangu university is a very young christian institution whose reputation needs to be protected at all costs. The onus is therefore on management to ensure proper scrutiny of its would-be students before enrollment. The idea of merely chasing money at all costs will definitely cost the institution some great deal of reputation.

to much suspensions at Rusangu University,over 10 students have been suspended for unknown reasons,increase of tuition fees which was over 100% increment,later closure of the school.now 3 students arrested for drug trafficking.its like there has been confusions from the time the new vice chancellor was brought at the institution.we parents are now doubting the institution.is it really a christian institution.

Its sad that these students have choosen to defile the norms and belief that this credible university hold.Any there deeds have nothing to with this institution,parents ,guardians this remind us that we have a responsibility which we are probably negelacting.Stay blessed stay, stay away from drugs.
