Mps Urged To Ensure That The FOI Bill Is Tabled.

In the picture above: The then opposition leader Michael sata browses the post website (picture taken in London).
United Liberal Party (ULP) leader Sakwiba Sikota has challenged Parliamentarians to ensure that the Freedom of Information (FOI) Bill is tabled before Parliament and quickly enacted.

Mr. Sikota told Qfm news in an exclusive interview that previous governments have failed to enact the FOI Bill despite promising Zambians to do so.

He said it is therefore important for the Patriotic Front government to live up to their promise of ensuring that the FOI Bill is enacted into law.

Mr. Sikota adds that once enacted will accord Zambians to access information on various issues pertaining to the nation.

The Press in Zambia is already free. Chanda Chimbwi is still a free man despite his slanderous articles and all we have asked for is the cost to be settled by sponsors not the Zambians. Most pipo working at ZNBC still enjoing their jobs were enjoying reading or reporting unpalatables said by Dora like kalya katwishi ngakamukaladi elyo na Kunda Moando

Gentle men and ladies FOI is the must if we are to grow in democracy. We brash it aside we’ll fill it during election campaign. Never trust a politician
