UPND Hails William Banda As A Political Animal
United Party for National Development UPND deputy Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has described former MMD Lusaka province chairman William Banda who has defected to the UPND as a political animal who will contribute to the growth of the party.
Mr Mweetwa says the UNPD hopes that William Banda will quickly bring in his massive experience to the party.
He says the UPND is happy to have Mr. Banda as a member.
He adds that the coming of Mr. Banda to UPND will strengthen the party making it a stronger opposition political party.
Mr. Mweetwa says the UPND will continue welcoming new members that see it fit to work with it.
Mr. Mweetwa was speaking to QFM News in an interview.

PF welcomed Mulongoti, Masebo, Mpombo,Patrick etc but UPND welcomes Willie Tekere and every fool is complaining, it not fair, lets understand democracy. All those complaining and saying bad things about UPND’s accepting Tekere are just exposing there foolishness on the democratic platform

Willam Banda joined MMD and the it lost power, now that he has joined UP and Down Party run by a president that has never won an election…Watch he could be a plant to ensure that you destroy UPND. HH and RK must think like late Andy Mazoka who managed to win over all.

Its not “contribute to the growth of the party” but “contribute to the self distruction of party” For those of you who do not know zambian politics please note that WB belongs to the 60′s and we have advanced so much that he belongs to the past the past of uncalled for violence. he is supposed to go into the archives for us to be able to refer to. jumping from one dead horse to another is no way. He is always helping parties to go under ie UNIP, MMD now wait UPND will soon go under.

I was once a follower of upnd, then with comrade Mazoka. It was a party for all zambians, it represented our aspirations. But since HH took over the realms of power things have changed, from a national party its now a regional party, with mr Banda now on board we just have to wait and see. I have to be honest, things will be bad. Remember that old habits die hard.

Did you really leave the pact or is it that you are on course to leave the UPND in a sunken state? Naimwe ba Mweetwa simply yapping out the most i.d.i.o.t.i.c statement about animals of politics. If UPND goes into disrepute over this, imwe babili mukaponokwa kuli Tonga Bull na True Bantustans.

UPND becoming more balanced. People from all over now joining the party maybe it will become more representative and then we begin to credit it again.
Tekere is a free man allow him to explore what is in UPND and add his part no need to wish him another party, why? or to speculate what he plans to do against the party, let him do what he wishes if the owners are credible thy will sort that out and protect their party.

Accepting the political baggage that William Banda brings to the UPND, wbhich the MMd is desperate to shed off, shows you the political immaturity that the UPND has, any wonder that a junior Party member, Mweetwa believes he is the greatest thing Zambia has had, after electricity.
1. William Banda is the epitome of violence in the MMD and they are trying to cleanse themselves by sidelining him which led to his departure.
2. William Banda still has cases in court, which the UPND has to take up0 and start escorting him to court with cadres, denting whatever remain of this political Party’s credibility.
3. William Banda is a very old man and going by the stated policy of the UPND about age and politicians, one wonders what value they think he will bring to the Party.
Like Brian Hapunda aptly put it today, UPND has indeed been in reverse gear for quite sometime now!!!!

i always wonder with PF cadres who spend much of their time in ofices doing nothing but following a biased and politicaly driven web(tumfweko)which is now misleading people.their is nothing wrong with Banda joining UPND.This is democracy.HH is now seen as a threat.why is it that always cadres with empty heads will always talk about him even when he is out of topic.Tumfweko talk about PF draft constitution instead of wasting your good time on useless things. these empty heads should discus on it instead of HH.

HH has become a force and a voice for the people viva HH. This is a democracy let Mr William Banda join a part of his choice, because he did not join them, that is why they are upset, no party can reject anyone politics is about numbers, lets not pretend,they wanted him to join them but he has chosen upnd, the party for all Zambians advocating for real change.
