Police Officers Beat Up Chazanga Man to Death

A 32 year old man of Chazanga compound is alleged to have been killed by police who badly beat him after he was picked up for attacking police officers.

This follows a fracas with police after he was allegedly mistaken for illegally allocating plots.

The man identified as Brian Simbeye is believed to have been contracted by his mother to clear a piece of land that she acquired prior to commencement of construction works.

The deceased and four others were said to have been captured by police after allegedly being mistaken that they were illegally allocating plots.

Cousin of the deceased, Webby Sichima has confirmed the development to MUVI TV News.

What hatred can do. I am from reading the ka site called ZWD. It has reported about fuel shortage in Nakonde. I call Nakonde and they repport that everything is normal. The hatred exhibited in Zambia is likely to lead us into very deep truble.

If what is written is how it was then it is indeed very sad.no one has the right to take another’s life. Those officers ar known so they should be caged.it doesnt require the IG to direct that they said cops be incarcerated.NO.its stright forward.what was committed is pure murder.

The problem with our policemen and women they have take official matters personal. The police represent the state and the state means the executive who is the president and the cabinet. The President is the servant of the citizen. The police have turned the tables upside down. As the citizen [the employer] we do not pay our police personnel [the employees] salaries [thru taxes] to be killed or harassed under disguise of maintaining law and order.
Now I urge the Chazanga people to handle this issue using Garden or Kalingalinga compound formula. Ask how they managed there situation following the death of two young men simultaneously. That is the language they understand not having human rights workshops.
They mount road blocks along Kafue road on two location between Lusaka and Kafue around 06:30 hrs. Kabwe road at Kabangwe permanently, Chipata road two about 10kms before and after Chongwe and Mumba road at China-Zambia turn-off permanently. There has not being any report or news of arresting criminals, road offenders etc all they are interested are mini-buses, sand trucks and canter loaded with animals. Their supervisors are on payroll meaning the subordinates are the paymaster.
People Of Little Ideas Can Enter=POLICE (am sorry for the last ones)

Sad indeed, one thing i hav come to note is once you become a police officer, u cease to think properly.Police officers are not normal, thank God I wasnt taken a recruit i wud become a proper fool. One day these officers shall be sorted out whether in this life or life to come-God’s judgement. Shame u bikapokola.

Madam Zambia Police spokesperson Elizabeth Kanjela, we as the public would like to hear of a fair prosecution of the policemen involved in this Chazanga beating of a man to death. Policemen in Zambia are highly indisciplined. They are involved in bar brows, fornication, prostitution rings, harassing citizens at road blocks unnecessarily and receiving bribes(corruption). It is unacceptable for the police to carry the tag of being untouchable despite breaking the law indiscriminately. Recently at Matero the police recovered money from the corruption investigations and some of it went missing and the only thing that happened was that the involved parties have been transfered to other posts. This is unacceptable as these officers must have been charged, suspended, investigated and depending on the outcome of the investigation dismissed or even prosecuted. In Zambia the police are rarely given adquate discipline as they are all compromised including most of their superiors. The Zambia Police as an institution needs reforms and retraining to achieve professionalism. May the soul of the dear departed rest in peace.

anyone against the police should wait until you are attacked, wait the thugs climb on you roof, you will realise who good the police is, surely a thug enters the house and harrass u to death, while holding a gun, and you are police officer, what else do you expect, sell your life for the sake of a uniform or spare your limited unknow length of life before you die.
