Next Expedite The FOI Bill – Mulongoti.
Former Information and Broadcasting Minister Mike Mulongoti says there is need to expedite the enactment of the Freedom of information Bill.
Mr. Mulongoti has since advised Members of Parliament to unanimously rally behind the Bill once the house resumes.
In an interview with Qfm news, Mr. Mulongoti has underscored the importance of the Bill stating that once enacted, it will empower Zambians to follow up on government%u2019s developmental agenda.
He says parliament has to exercise the same unity shown on the abuse of authority of office clause to support and subsequently put into effect the FOI Bill.
Government recently charged that it will do everything possible to ensure that Freedom of Information (FoI) bill is made into law by August this year.

FOB in SA has not treated me so well! T tried to suggest that we grab land from the white and push for change in Bostwana but ANC managed to evict me the Mampi style.But do we allow ‘twits’ like Mulongoti to even have space ofr things he used to laugh at…he supported the disposal of the ‘Abuse of office clause’,he mocked the FOB issue and today like a chamelon has change colour.Hypocrite!!

Mike Mulongoti had an apportunity to leave the MMD as a free thinker had he supported this bill. During his tenure as minister of information & broad casting, he was simply politicking about this matter & today, he is the first to push for it. This can only be described as lacking any scruple and hypocrite. HEMCS is trully serious on fighting corruption as the FOI bill will allow Zambians more transparency in the dealings of the government and other public service areas. This is a better way of policing the functioning of government and all public institutions in their service to Zambians. PF, means business & if they continue at this pace, it will be an easy victory in 2016! GO PF GO! VIVA VISIONARY AGENDAS!
