He once said :
1. If your staple food is maize, do you have to wait for rain to fall for you to plant your crop? You must irrigate and grow thru out the year.
2. Imagine if the $90m given to Meridian Bank was to be shared equally among the 9 provinces? Each would have seen serious development.

Too bad. The man was enthusiastic about Agric. He said we could even use cowdung as fertiliser nga chashupa. But indeed he, with Levy, turned agric around.

Another loss to the nation. He contributed to the development of agriculture in MMD GRZ.He inspired young/youthful zambiana to venture into agriculture & encouraged the old farmers 2continue hence the bumper harvests recorded yr after yr.

VERY SAD TO HEAR ABOUT HIS DEMISE.MR SIKATANA WAS A FRIEND OF MINE.HE WAS A VERY HUMBLE MAN AND A GREAT LAWYER.WHENEVER I VISITED HIM AT HIS OFFICE HE WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR ME WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. MR MUNDIA SIKATANA MOST OF THE TIME HAD ABOUT A DOZEN OF CLIENTS WAITING TO SEE HIM AND WAS VERY POPULAR WITH PEOPLE IN THE STREETS BECAUSE AS HE WAS A WELL KNOWN LAWYER FOR THE POOR PEOPLE AND HE WAS ALWAYS READY TO HELP CLIENTS WHO COULD NOT AFFORD TO PAY HIGHER CHARGES. HE WAS ALSO A VERY LEARNED POLITICIAN AND SERVED WELL AS A MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AS WELL AS MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS IN THE MWANAWASA ADMINSTRATION. MY HEART IS AT PAIN AT THIS VERY MINUTE TO LOOSE A GOOD FRIEND WHO SERVED HIS MOTHERLAND WITH LOVE AND AFFECTION AND I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM AS A GREAT HERO AND A GALANT WARRIOR.HOW I WISHED I WAS IN ZAMBIA TO WISH HIM A FAREWELL.I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM AND MISS HIM A LOT. MAY GOD BLESS HIS SOUL AND REST HIM IN PEACE.MY SINCERE CONDOLANCES TO MRS SIKATANA, HIS CHILDREN,RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.SINCE HE IS NOW IN GODS HANDS HE WILL ALWAYS BE LOOKED AFTER WELL BY HIM.AAMEEN.

Bo Mundia, you were a gallant leader, you fought well & you will be missed by those you insmpired by your good works. Till we meet again, may your soul rest in eternal peace.

This is how heroes should die no suspicions of abuse of office, nothing like he has died with our money. No court cases won through rigging and corruption. No man is complaining for eloping with his wife,a very quiet death the big man goes to sleep unlike the famous thief buried in the middle of the country every parliamentarians met they are reminded of rooting the economy. And now thieves have regrouped we will see how you are going to be remembered.

We thank God for giving us a life that was selfless and very hard working even at an old age. I remember the fruitful discussions we had as a student union at NRDC while he was minister of Agric.
