The National Restoration Party (NAREP) has advised its fellow opposition political parties in the country to provide the necessary checks and balances to the government in a more respectable manner.
NAREP spokesperson Mbita Sumbwe says it is normal for political parties to defend or disagree on issues but states that it should always be done in a more respectful manner.
Mr. Sumbwe notes that if political leaders express themselves in a disrespectful manner, it will be hard for them to command respect and provide the necessary checks and balances as they will be treated in a similar way.
Speaking to QFM, Sumbwe says being polite does not mean being timid because views can be expressed politely but forcefully.

UPND is blind to the truth. What they do not know is that they are setting a very high benchmark for themselves. Tongas are tribalistic by nature and to think cow lover kadansa will come and appoint other tribes is a pipe dream, Thank God he will not taste State house unless he repents. Having grown up on the copperbelt where tribe did not exist, my fist encounter with tribalism was at UNZA. These boys used to eat, talk and study together and will not use any other language except the cow one from illede province

His Bweziness, it’s people like you that are the biggest disappointment, when you as an intellectual should be promoting the one Zambia one nation ideology and trying your best to educate these illiterates who are going on and on about tribalism in their wrong spellings and broken English. Am a proud Tonga by the way, and I also went to University and as a more objective intellectual, I feel if we keep this up, we are slowly promoting genocide instead of development. Leave the petty comments for people who do not see the bigger picture and do not analyse issues at the highest level. I personally have met very intelligent Tongas and Bembas in my line of work who achieve great things when working together with people from many other tribes. Forget about who’s from what tribe, which tribe should rule us and all that crap, let’s concentrate on who has the best qualities to lead us to the promised land. If it is a Bemba, so be it. Meantime, just play your role best way you can.

The ones who are writing about tribalism belong to my present generation. The next generation will not know or will get surprised if you show such backwardness. I have been a Shibukombe to so many Tonga Bemba Lungu Namwanga and Lozi marriages. There are names of our grand children like mubukwanu chileshe, Hamududu Sikazwe etc. We are waiting for God to kill all the tribalists and leave Zambia alone!

fellow zambians when are we going to learn to share ideas politely.this is a platform to educate each other without injuring one particular grouping of people.tribalistic sentiments are a very good fuel for ethninic clensing and civil wars.mind you it will be very difficult to restore peace in zambia.so be mindful of statements we make.God bless us all as we debate issues.
there is no problem with the president and chipimo to attend this thing in brasil together.mind you the president is aging therefore it is important for him to seek help from the genius youngman in such a manner.
GOD BLESS US ALL. MUYA USALALA UBE HANDINYWE KONSE KO MU BEDE BANA BALEZA.

NAREP no wonder their president can decide to be a poodle of Sata! Politics is not diplomatic missions, if your career is diplomacy, where appropriacy is a must, then redeploy yourselves from politics. Politics is not a game of bowing down and giving of respects!!!

@tribalism
Tribes are groups of people who speak or share culture. Tribe identifies who you are by nature.
@nontribe
nontribe basically is an attempt to destroy tribes or culture/s. It is a way to promote unknown values, in the Zambian case street values.
what should Zambians promote – is it street values or tribal/cultural values?
When you look at Bemba or Nyanja spoken on the streets, they do not represent the bemba culture at a bemba village neither does nyanja represent the ngoni culture.
our journalists are fond of making people use these two language, they are responsible in turning Zambia into a culture of street values.

Opportunist Chipimo. Yo tribesmen’re busy Chipimo-Chipimo and now parading yoself to be groomed next president as if Zambia is yo Kingdom! We feel cheated indeed by pf and now Zambia is more divided than ever. Civilised and honest Zambians from all walks of life, unite and give a stop to all dis cheap politics. Nevers,Hichilema, Miyanda, Milupi…. look promising but not just in themselves. Zambians unite these and other genuine young leaders to serve our beautiful country Zambezi from extremists/opportunists. Zambia must be a free united federal state for alll….
