Reverend Support For Gay Marriage May Cost Him Church; Two-Thirds Of Congregation Leaves

The reverend of a St. Paul church says he needs to raise $200,000 to pay off a church loan after most of his followers left because of his support for gay marriage.

The Rev. Oliver White runs Grace Community United Church of Christ in St. Paul. The 69-year-old said he needs to raise the money by June 30.

“We lost our income when we lost a number of people from our congregation.” White said. White said two-thirds of his followers left after he said he supported same-sex marriage, and said he was against the marriage amendment that will be up for a vote in November. “I think people are scared — scared of change, and what has been in the closet is finally coming out, and too many people are not willing to accept it,” White said.

He argued they have to accept it, adding that it’s a civil rights issue.

“It’s time for our society to do as Rodney King did and say, ‘Can’t we all get along?’ That should be the 11th commandment as far as I’m concerned,” he said. “We should not try to legislate morality, in terms of who should get married and who can’t get married.”

White said they are praying for a miracle donation, but says even if they lose the church, those remaining members will find another place to worship.

In the Bible this kind of marriage is not the it is abomination, for the sake of money people are able to do the unaccepted and defend the strongly. What everyone would want to know is, is the Reverand supporting this with a biblical point or just because others are offering big to him? Surely the end of the world is near. When I read the bible some of these things happened in soldom and gomorrah. Well the Reverand is not the overall decider for the members.

Bambi balinwine imisu ifyakukonka konka. some are walking naked, sleeping with dogs, sleeping with the dead & all sorts of things for a status in society. The only problem is that countries constitutions may be flexable but such people needs to be arrested, investigated, tortured to review the source of such beliefs. To much freedom is very bad. In the past such where unhead of.

God wrote 10 commandments, who is equal to God to add another 11th commandment? Africa is a blessed continent if you look at our culture. Fellow countrymenn and women, let us not be misled by these foreigners’ culture because they will stop their aid to Africa.

only God fearing people will do that which is pleasing befor the God of Heaven. adding to and subtracting from Gods commandments is an abormination befor God. all these are the fulfilment of the signs of christs second coming.

Next they’ll start advocating for incest to be legalised all in the name of civil rights! All gay people must be taken to an island and have no contact with straight people, see how they procreate!

I did say earlier that govt must regulate the registration of churches and demand the qualifications and proof of evangelical training of their lead pastors to avoid incidences of people who distort thier vocal cords and learn to speak fast and memorise bible verses they use as they ‘preach’ and extort cash offerings from their flock

@kapuli wa ng’ongo, you are right we have too many sekf made pastors who have established ‘church dens’ to ‘preach’ and raise money for themselves. some even offer private prayers to unsuspecting women for all sorts of things as they sell them small bottles of olive oil they decanted as annointing oil for the women to rub on their bodies after bathing!!!!!!

THE WORD GAY SHOULD NOT EVEN BE TALKED ABOUT. IT IS SHAME FOR HUMAN BEING TO DEBATE ON GAY. ANYTHING TO DO WITH GAY IS SATANIC. THIS REVEREND IS THE REVEREND FOR SATAN. HOW CAN HE SAY THAT THEY ARE SCARED FOR CHANGE, CHANGE TO WHAT, TO GAY? GOD FORBID. ANY CHRISTIAN LEADER WHO IS SUPPORTING GAY IS NOT A CHRISTIAN. JOHN 10:35 “THE WORD OF GOD CAN NOT BE BROKEN” A MAN MUST MARRY A WOMAN AND A WOMAN MUST MARRY A MAN. ANYTHING OUTSIDE THIS IS LAWLESSNESS.

Its easy to demonise this particular pastor but we all know how morally rotten Zambia is despite being declared a christian nation. Clean your house before making noise about your neighbour’s!

Rev White God is the same yesterday today and forever he never changes because he is not man he will not change even for your sake Rev. His precepts shall endure for ever. Whilst man wants to be applauded God can do without it after all no one was around when he created the earth, nobody was there to say wow he only said to himself it is good. That is why he created us all to fit the other man and woman.

These are signs of end time, when demons are manifesting physically in form of hunan beings, decieving the world by turning the bible upside down and also appearing in form of preachers leading souls to hell. Let us be careful and watchful too.
