Chipimo: UPND’s Concerns Were Not Enough For Me To Turn Down SATA’s Invitation
National Restoration Party (NAREP) president Elias Chipimo Junior says his party did not see the need to dialogue with other opposition political parties in the country over the invitation by republican president Michael Sata to the Rio conference in Brazil.
Mr. Chipimo has stated that the concerns raised by other opposition political were not enough to turn down the invitation.
Mr. Chipimo says the National Executive Committee of his party was comfortable with the invitation as conference was in line with the party’s vision to make the country an energy superpower that will address the many pressing challenges being faced.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka this morning, Mr. Chipimo says it is so unfortunate that the opposition in the country are dwelling on suspicion and leaving out real issues.
He notes that opposition political parties should not rely on unnecessary criticism and complaints but should instead engage with all stakeholders in a constructive and progressive manner.
Mr. Chipimo states that development in the country can only come from resolute, collective and committed stakeholders by government working with the civil society, the private sector and even the opposition political parties.
And NAREP National chairman Joseph Mushalika says NAREP does not wish to engage in unnecessary attacks with leaders of other opposition political parties but states that unwarranted attacks meant to divert people’s attention from focusing on real issues will not go unchecked.
Mr. Mushalika says UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema should be the last person to state that he is allergic to President Michael Sata because not long ago, he was in an alliance with his party.

NAREP is as useles as its leader..who cannot see that the exercise was a waste of tax payers money. We have always told you that chipimo is a uselles politician….UNZA is closed because government is failing to increase salaries for lectures and you fools like chipimo who goes out on tax payers money. The money chipimo plundered from tax payers could have been used in developing the nation in one way or another.Look at the yourth who are stuck because government has failed to provide investment orpportunities and employment and then you selfish indiviuals like chipimo flying on tax payers money. ASK him what the country has benefitted from flying….zero and you call these politicians…why then did not all other president who attended invited oppostion memebers….simple because of being prodent to national resources..chipimo has lost it on this one. I am now likeing HH despite The Post scandlising him. HH is a beter candidate than Chipimo.

compare analysis by Botswana as a government and number of delegation sent to RIO then you will understand why tswanas are making progressing than Zambia. Zambia is full of confussing, people not prudent in tax payers money utilisation and confused leadership. am slowly begining to like HH and UPND. UPND seems to be more logical in resource manangement then what i voted for.

Chipimo is a Snake and a conman! I was wondering why young vibrant leaders in Zambia like John Phiri could resign such a big position of Secretary General of NAREP. John phiri has been a focused vibrant young leader in Zambia from the time he started heading Global Justice Zambia. Immediately he resigned, i new that there was problem in NAREP and i new the problem was not with John but Chipimo. John humbly resigned and humbly joined the PF because he means well for Zambia. Besides, i would encourage him to work with the PF so that he can grow politically and mature politically unlike Chipimo who wants to climb a tree from the top. Ma youth open your eyes Chipimo is on our side!

Elias Chipimo is a tax payer also and needs exposure in order to mature in politics so that trip was good for him. Let HH hung himself or climb a pole if he wants. 2016 will be fertile ground to finish of the bitterness of HH coz he will be mud by then looking at the way he is reasoning. HH thinks he knows politics but has no timing with his moves. this is making him more unpopular than 2011. I feel sorry for him that he has “i know it all” attitude.

Tax payer money or not that money is budgeted for in the national cake for the president and state house, lets not blame the receivers who did it in good faith and the President for being included in the budget this is for the betterment of our only mother Zambia and i agree that they (Nawakwi & Chipimo) are also tax payers who needs exposure. Unza problems should be dealt with in depthly that is include all stakeholders in finding everlasting solutions because these problems have been with us for a long time and solutions can be found. lets understand government business which is confused with politics however marry not the two.
