Former United States of America President George W Bush is expected to visit Zambia on Saturday June 30th 2012.
This comes barely a few months after the former US head of state last visited Zambia.
Mr. Bush during his first visit toured a number of US sponsored projects around the country.
It is not clear what his mission is this time around.

2. Compare and contrast the hype and frenzy caused by the visiting of a white man to that of the visiting black man in Zambia. Hint: Dwell on the frenzy in the media (Tumfweko inclusive) and common Zambians. (20 marks).
3. To what extent is it true that American funded projects in Africa (Zed included) directly or indirectly benefit americans more than Africans. Refer to the role America played/plays in Lybia, Egypt, Sudan and Nigeria( 30 marks)
4. Most African states (including Zed) look up to America and other developed countries as “economic and development messiahs” who can swiftly turn round their economic malaise. Relate the important facts overlooked by African states in this regard and their implications on overall benefits from such interactions.(35 marks)

Bush is from a country where your country’s GDP is pocket money for one, Warren Buffet and what Liato buried is what some people pay for child maintainance, monthly!! Suddenly, you want to think America needs Zambia more than you do it?!! These people do things with a passion, if they were after any of what your demented bloggers are suggesting, it would be Obama’s govt officials frequenting this pot holed nation. His visit here isprobably just to make sure you haven’t ” Kapokod” the funds they gave to projects in Lusaka shanties!!

The likes of George Bush do not visit African countries for nothing. It is a fallacy (a very dangerous one at that) to think America does not need African countries for its prosperity. Africa has contributed a lot to the wealth and pomp of wall street. The reason why potentially rich countries like Nigeria, Libya, Sudan,Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo are in the state they are in today is all because of the USA’s desire to enrich itself at the expense of these territories. In the case of the DRC, the US government even admitted having established a CIA base there during the Mobutu reign so as to extract as much diamond and gold as possible, and externalize it, while the Congolese wallowed in poverty and ignorance. America does not give out anything for free…not especially to Africa. And frequent visits by its former heads of state are certainly not mere charity pursuits!

The US government has been pressuring Zambia to handle over Mbala ZAF base for the Americans to develop into a US command and airforce base for their African contingent. This will ensure that they have subSaharan Africa covered in terms of thier containment of Islamic and Chinese influences on the continent. If Zambia was to agree, the country would benefit in (billion)dollars flows from Uncle Sam,(Philipines kind of set-up). But downside risks would also prop up such as perception of Zambia becoming a stooge of the US…

Whichever way, as long as we start looking like a country that is making progress, someone will come and visit us. I AM HAPPY IT IS NOT CHARLES TAYLOR, AMSTERDAM OR JOSEPH KONY. We are hosting UNWTO next year, do u think countries will send their presidents here carelessly? Jeez!

Any normal thinking person knows that the interests of the west and america in particular are not good towards our countries. what they are showing in the media is not their real intent. The end of it all is a disadvantage to all of us and our national continetal interests.

That big american embassy was built to facilitate for such their programs and greedy visits. But we need whisle blowers in this country. Those in power and in high public offices know what is happening. But the problem is that they are either cowards or too corrupt to tell it. They must have been given nichekeleko.

June 29, 2012 at 4:32 pm
Atleast the humble zambians working for companies subcontracted to build that new US embassy have revealed something about what lies down in that terrorist chambers.
We hope one day a patriotic zambian will do something. May be those in power had refused something these guys wanted, then after threatening the country’s peace through the selfish BRE hooligans, they have now bowed to the pressure, thus Bush is back again.

Is what they Chinese doing to us be any worse than what they Americans will begin to do? Come this is the son of stars coming back to Zambia. Africa will always remain a continent whose direction will be determined by the people we beg money from..Read your bible people. We have had our Asian brothers from chipata here for ages and look at what has happened, There has been no single investment from them not even in the compounds where they get their work force. And yet we are quick to point out the wrongs of the American or Chinese influence over our destines like we have any better today?
A day is coming when segregation will not be about colour but about class..Who you know, how much money you have, who you work for….The Americans are just far much better at their hypocrisy than anyone else..Give us Coke Cola and please indoctrinate our way of life.

George Bush is a great man who needs to be respected for the bravely he showed while fighting terrorists who may have harmed us! George Bush opened the way of how to defeat terrorists with resilience!
I love George Bush and he had the heart for Africa, a genuine love for that matter!
God bless George Bush!
Only IGNORANT people have a problem with George Bush but those who are well informed will forever remember George Bush for his bravely in fighting terrorists (dangerous people).

I hope George Bush is really coming to Zambia because he is a real Christian for that matter who really have a heart for Zambia! If George Bush comes to Zambia it is because he has a good motive!
Many Zambians who needed Home Based Care were saved from the money George Bush sent to Zambia during his Presidency!
God bless George Bush wheresover he is!
