SATA Tells Off George Kunda’s Widow ‘Mourn Your Husband. MMD Will Never Bounce Back’

PRESIDENT Michael Sata has said the MMD will never bounce back to power and people should not be cheated because the Patriotic Front (PF) is now in control.
Mr Sata said whether one likes it or not, the PF is now presiding over the affairs of the nation and people should not be deceived that the MMD would bounce back.

Sata

He said this when he addressed a mammoth rally at Chibale Basic School grounds where he went to drum up support for PF Muchinga Constituency by-election candidate Jeliaty Ntembwa .
“We are in power now. We are the ones presiding over the affairs of the country and you should not be cheated that the MMD will bounce back. There was UNIP and now MMD will follow the same way UNIP died,” he said.
He however called for peaceful campaigns in the run-up to Thursday’s elections because people in the area were still mourning their former MP and late former Republican vice-president George Kunda.
The President said he was shocked that while the family of the late Kunda was still in mourning, his widow had allowed her son Howard Kunda to contest the by-election and that as a person who was married to a wife from Central Province, he had never heard of such a tradition.
He said the people of Muchinga should vote for the PF candidate Mr Ntembwa because he was a permanent resident of the area unlike Mr Kunda and National Restoration Party (NAREP) candidate Kenneth Ngosa.

Kunda’s widow Ireen

He said Mr Kunda should not cheat people that he wanted to continue with his late father’s programmes in the constituency because his father was the vice-president and his party was in government at the time.
He however challenged Mr Ntembwa to look into the plight of the people of Muchinga Constituency once voted into office.
He bemoaned that the constituency was faced with challenges such as poor road network, inadequate teachers in schools, inadequate health personnel in health centres as well as lack of clean water to drink.
At the same rally, PF General Secretary Wynter Kabimba said the people of Muchinga voted for MMD in the general elections last September because MMD members were lying to them that Mr Sata would bring war if elected President.
Mr Kabimba said the MMD also cheated the electorate that Mr Sata intended to kill all the old people if he won the elections.
“But has he killed people now? Is there war in the country?” asked Mr Kabimba as the people responded by saying no in unison.
Mr Sata addressed another rally at Nzamane Basic School where he told the people to vote for Mr Ntembwa and warned them not to listen to Mr Kunda who does not even have a job.
Mr Sata told the PF candidate that he needed to work hard as the job of an MP was not an easy one saying after spending 20 years himself in the National Assembly as an MP, he knew what he was talking about.
He said MMD president Nevers Mumba had no authority about politics because he had never gone through the lower organs of any party structure.
Earlier, the President paid courtesy calls on Chief Chisomo, Chief Chibala, Chief Mailo and Chieftainess Serenje all of the Lala speaking people in Serenje district.

there are two kind of fairy tales, one start with “once upon a time”, the other starts with”when elected we will…”. Hope one day we will see politicians fulfill their campaign promises.

it is highly unbecomin of sata to utter the words quoted here above. although am not supprised coz sata doesnt have the grammar and charisma to put his message across other than resorting to insults and street language. sata is a product of kulima tower politics and that is how cheap state house and the presidency has become. pf shud not think they own zambia or can brainwash all the zambians. very soon, a critical mass of zambians will stand up and kick these guys. watch this space.

May the best candidate win. Voters are quite & busy analysing the situation.Like in chief chisomo’s area in 1996, only game rangers were qualified civil servants as teachers & nurses ran away due to poor working enviroment, accomodation, transpotation etc.A volunteer worked at clinic to give panados supplied by serenje district health board once in a month. The only rd leading to the area had risk wooden bridge across the Lusiwasi river.Katiso mountain also is another danger.Only 4wd vehicles can manage to go up & down the famous katiso Mt. Each & every elections time politicians talk about promises. Its rare for them to point at achievement. Why!!!!!!.Is it a political party or & individual to alleviate the sufferings endured by the rural people? Or have electorates not been voting wisely all these years……..

Sata is by nature very disrespectful to women, remember he told former first lady Maureen Mwanawasa that she needed ‘alangizi’.Dora Siliya has been called all sorts of names and the list is endless. Now he is at it again on the George Kunda’s wife.I wish i would know what Kaseba is called or the unplatables she has endured.

sata must no that,he will die also when his days expires.what ever cause of someone s death, respect is vital more expecially for the dead.to me its nosence for such careless take.he is the head,if he behaves that way, then we do not have a head.
