HH: SATA Is Behind On How To Behave And Conduct Himself When He Meets Foreign Dignitaries

UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema says former president Rupiah Banda was right to apologise to George Bush on behalf of Zambians.

And Hichilema has maintained that he will write a letter to president Michael Sata to guide the president on how to behave and conduct himself when he meets foreign dignitaries. He said the letter will talk about diplomatic etiquette and manners.

Hichilema said former president Banda apologised on behalf of many Zambians who felt embarrassed by president Sata’s humilition of Bush by calling him an agent of former colonialists who had come to Zambia to pay back.

He said this at his party’s headquarters during a media briefing Tuesday morning.

If Bush was not offended by what was said, it’s because he realized that the clown who cracked the joke could not tell the difference between a nuclear bomb and a fart!!! Take the man back to elementary school, lest this nation becomes a laughing stock.

how does, present day america come in, naiwe musco? did they buy the slaves or its their ancestors, if anything we sold our own to them, we r the mre wicked. we shud even thank them in a way that abraham lincoln called for slavery to end when he was president (know your history). the more we think they owe us, the more we’ll sit on our behinds and become lazy and do nothing bout our problems. Lets move on n realise its hate that brings us backwards………bush doesnt deserve an apology, but the president(especially dat he arrived late to see a sitting president) bt the presidents approach wasnt the best and calls for much in as far as diplomacy is concerned.

The only problem with our infamous under 5 Kadansa is that he wants to gain political capital even on issues that are trivial such that right thinking members of society like me or @Big Ken would consider him to be petty, immature, childish or a fool!
Honestly what was there to appologise? If this is how kadansa thinks would win him international sympathy, iam afraid the chap has lost it! They are equally looking at him as being petty, immature, childish or a foolish Tonga boy who is not cultured! I wonder how this boy rans his home because iam getting concerned on how this boy is quickly rushing to the so called International Community even on issues that are domestic in nature!
We shall see if the so called international community will mend his raw and tattered political image here in Zambia!

Ladies and Gentlemen! I would like to help change the caurse of our discussions on the Tabloids. I have no better platform, maybe someone can help. Let us discuss the SIXTH NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN on a daily basis during our free time. That is if policy makers can read.

Today I have been going through the SNDP 2011 – 2015 and the Topic on TRANSPORT page 56 RAILWAY, makes very sad reading.

Why have we left the Railways to deteriorate at this purse. I think the Government must Nationalise all the Railway in the country. Even if there is no profit, the payback will be by way of prolonging the paved road network. Trillions! Make an SI that restricts what moves on the road and what not i.e. perishable/emergencies and Long lead time goods respectively.

  20. MUNYELO PWETE!

    July 10, 2012 at 4:58 pm

    @Big Ken
Brilliant idea! For those who have no access to the said document, on pge 56 it indicates that “The state of railway infrustructure has continued to be poor with the only major progress being the completion of the Chipata- Mchinji Railway line. As a result of low investement, the railway line network has continued to deteriorate. Consequently the targeted volume of cargo and passengers transported could not be met and this put more pressure on the road network”

I hope Hon. Mukanga is aware about this sad state of affairs! Once more kudos to you @ Big Ken

HH is very right. Let us look at issues and not the individual. As far as I am concerned, Sata made a big blunder. He is now in reaction mode, which is not good for a leader. He should not have answered RP the way he did. He should learn to put the ball down. Reaction mode is kaponya mentality for defending territories, not a president.

His excellency Mr. Chilufya Sata blundered this time. He will not become an hero by disrespecting pipo like Bush. He should take a leaf from Mugabe who is now very isolated. Mr President please learn to respect pipo regardless of there status. You came to Botswana and insulted your own children. Please change your behaviour. Twasekwa pafula shi kulu. Lord have mercy.

Thanks MP. I really think the Railway can bring about meaningful employment into the economy. This is one area that can operate viably if ran professionally even under state ownership. There is a lot of educated and experianced manpower in this sector. I can see more than 3000 jobs lying idle in the Railway Industry while trucks are wrecking havock on our heavily financed roads. Can someone please speak with Hon. Mukanga.

    July 11, 2012 at 9:12 am

Simple facts, Sata cannot be taught be taught good manners because he does not even have bad ones. He has been married to a highly educated Doctor and a highly educated Educationist. Both have failed to teach him manners. Who are we to teach him manners. Most obliged.

  39. DNICE

    July 11, 2012 at 9:28 am

@ PF Cadre i think you are so right. this is a no go area for your president. The only way we will rest and stop being laughed at is when he is voted out of office, which i doubt if he wont. I still have to make reference to the late FTJ Chiluba. He was an orator and he could stand and speak with manifest deplomacy, good manners and he would not disrespect his own ministers. At least he knew what it meant to be a republican president and he surely behaved like one. Iam not sure this can be said of your MCS

HH you always let me down, just like you party pact mate Dr Be Never a President of Zambia.
Because of your beheviour Zambian will never put Vice President as running mate in National constitution. You run your parties more like tutembas.
If Zambians include that cause they will live to regrate.
Those two Under 5 are with shalow mind. The will never Save Zambia. Do not forget Zambia always as one president at a time. Your time will never come.

Zambia will never, never develop through begging.Remember beggers are never rich.
HH you passes through Higher institution of our land. Try to conduct yourself like one.
If it was Bush who had to say that to Sata it would have been a joke, but it came from Africa it is insult. Insult to who? RB & HH boot linkers those who themselves US.
Zambia & other countries called poverty countries no, not, even one react to it. US/ We are many states(American) currancy could not be the strongest than Yen-China/ Japan but it because of praise singers like HH/RB
Please wake up SLAVES of America.
Black in America,Black America or Blacks from Africa to America are not the happest even during Bush Era

Have you heard HH is handing over Southern Province to Bartse guys to see if he can punish Sata.
While Barotse Paramount Chief & other chiefs have accepted Government of Zambia to build them houses.
Can a President Come from Southern of Zambia?
When in Southern you may wonder those cattle cares thinking. Mapatizya formula could only work in Kumusanza period. Livingstone up Kafue , only add up Matero & Munali registered voters. see you 2016
HH always get it wrong. Mwanawasa called him to join MMD, Nawakwi formed Pact UDA, PF formed Pact & now Nevers half president of MMD, try his lack.
Who shall be the President of the Pact because all are power hungry?(NEVER’S HOUSEHOLD)The 2 Leaders are the same.No time for jokes

HH is right, Sata needs to be taught how to conduct himself. Ive a friend in GC who is a ‘generist ‘ & he told me Sata pulled off a lot of antics which were not well received by Botswana gov officials.

thats why sometimes politics can be rendered useless, jst talking, insulting, name calling each other, etc, without any tangeable development!, let each one of us work hard coz no one will put food on our tables but ourselves!

  49. tallmike

    July 11, 2012 at 12:36 pm

My appeal to all zambians ,is that we must learn to study issues before we comment.
Lets not be driven by unthinkable political statements from bitter elements who think they will gain political millage by making noise any how.
Lets talk on issues that we think will bring development and not insults.
Mr H H PLIZ THINK of poor zambians like me and not drive the PF to fail to rule zambia because all of us will suffer set back.
