He Starved Me Of Sex For 4 Years – Housewife Cries Out
Mrs Aderonke Akinyemi, a 38-year-old housewife, on Tuesday told a Badagry Customary Court to dissolve her marriage because her husband starved her of séx for the past four years.
“For four years my husband did not séx me. When he comes back from work he always give excuses of tiredness or sickness,” said the mother of two, whose children are 17 and 15 years.
She also accused her husband, Adewole Akinyemi of threat to life, frequent fighting and lack of care.
Responding to the allegations, Akinyemi, 45, told the court that he accepted the divorce since his wife asked for it. He however countered her allegation, saying “My wife always turns me down each time I want to have séx with her and she does not give any reason for her action.”
Akinyemi, who works at Shagamu in Ogun State, said anytime he came home, his wife would vacate their home only to return after he would have gone back to his station.Reacting to the husband’s defence, the petitioner blamed the respondent for her action, saying that her husband had said he wanted only two children. “On three occasion when I was pregnant for him, he asked me to abort it, so because of this, I refused to allow him have séx with me again,” she said.
The president of the court, Mr A.B. Kudaisi, asked the couple to go back home for possible reconciliation and adjourned the case till July 23.“You have to think of the interest of the children, especially now that they are at a crucial stage when they need your financial and moral support for their education,” the court president stated.
