Baby Born With Brain Outside Head, Dies In South Africa (Photo)
JOHANNESBURG – A South African doctor says a baby born with his brain outside his head has died after being alive for three weeks.
A doctor on duty when the baby died said Monday that Sibusiso Mokoena’s condition, known as anencephaly, was the cause of his death. Dr. Ntumda Mutondo told The Associated Press that she performed CPR on the infant, but couldn’t revive him. Mutondo said the infant died Wednesday.
Sibusiso, known in South Africa as Baby Mokoena, was born on July 4.
Babies born with anencephaly do not usually survive long. Doctors say some of the main causes of the condition are vitamin and folic acid deficiencies during pregnancy.

Are you sure you are a real Doc? This condition is a congenital abnormality called Encephalocely Complication or Cranium Bifidum! I hope you are not a herbalist or a ritualist doctor!

Thanx Doc 4 trying 2 save the infant’s life by performing CPR but I feel there was no stelility in yo procedure according 2 da picture am seing which mighty have also contributed 2 the death of the infant as the part involved was too sensitive. MHSRIP.

I agree with you Munyelo Pwete, that condition is a congenital abnormality and these cases happen. We had one here in Nyasaland, that time I was doing my Practicals at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Nyasaland.

Dr. Phil is funny but his spelling, and that of most of you on here, is absolutely horrid!! Some of you are even criticising others’ educational status, or manners or whatever, using the wrong spelling or grammar all together!! Please, if you aren’t sure about such things, keep your opinions to yourself. Just because you are writing something in cyberspace doesn’t mean that you should put your poor English here.
