Minister Threatens To Suspend Nyimba Council
Local Government and housing Deputy Minister Forrie Tembo has warned that he will not hesitate to recommend the suspension of Nyimba District Council for allegedly engaging in partisan politics.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Qfm News, Mr. Tembo who is also Nyimba Constituency MMD Member of Parliament says some councilors in the area have diverted their attention to jostling for his Parliamentary seat ever since the MMD signaled its intentions to expel its MPs serving in government.
Mr. Tembo says he will not allow development in Nyimba to be stagnant on account of a few power hungry Councilors.
He says all councilors are duty bound to carryout and implement government’s developmental programmes regardless of their political affiliations.
The Local government deputy minister says his warning should be taken seriously adding that government is in a hurry to develop Nyimba district.

Bravo Forrie Tembo. Be strong and firm by punishing those who are selfish and eager to hault development of the district for the benefits are for all well meaning zambians

Forrie we are behind you…also check the activities of the staff there especially the one acting as CS…the chap is pompous and has no direction. He drinks heavily and brags he is the only graduate in the district but he has nothing to show for. As you indicated, Nyimba is in a hurry to develop but such characters will dent your name. 12 MMD against 1 PF councilor is not healthy for democracy…DISOLVE NYIMBA COUNCIL NOW.

Forrie you are a man. Infact Nyimba Council is full of uneducated staff most of them so called veterans of Nyimba. They are untouchable and making the job of the CS difficult. Scruitnise their qualifications and you will be ammazed. I agree that the current acting CS is trash and should be fired. He is a hinderance to development. Please dissolve the council without delay. The acting CS is a drunkard and a non performer.

PF is a working government. the whole Nyimba council except the CS is MMD. There is no progress. Fire the acting CS and the Director of Works. They are doing nothing

my worry is the composition of NDC. The only person performing in CS. The Acting CS Nyirenda is a problem. He should be retired on national interest. He spent 10 years to complete a 4 year course at UNZA. Forrie do your job. We shall support you.

Forrie you are a failure. Go and visit your constituency. it is in disaray. No bridges, no roads, one and limping filling station, no street lights etc. resign from MMD and that will be your end.

Reinstate the fired council treasurer. i hear he has been on suspension for more than a year because of Nyirenda acting CS
