Police Arrest Luanshya Immigration Boss For Rape
POLICE have arrested officer-in-charge of Luanshya office, Friday Liandu, for raping a girl aged 18 years.
Copperbelt commissioner Mary Tembo confirmed in an interview that the incident happened around 04:00 hours on Saturday at Mwetete guest House in Luanshya.
“Yes, the incident happened on 11th August, he was charged with rape of a girl of Luanshya who is also a grade 12 pupil at Luanshya Girls Secondary school,” she said.
“And the suspect is Friday Liandu aged 38 of house number 144 Cheswa Avenue Luanshya who is also officer-charge, Immigration in Luanshya.”
And police sources said the victim went missing from home for the whole day on Friday and that her friends informed those that were looking for her that she was picked by unknown man.
The source said Liandu was taken to the police by citizens who effected a citizens arrest.

@Janet C, Yes, for once I swallow my pride & say ‘In such a case, you are right.’ but just in such a case. There is no where in the story where it suggests rape case here. The story has nothing to tell us the readers that this girl was raped. People having seen her being picked by an unknown man is not enough to suggest rape. Maybe this man was only un known to those that saw at a distance. The girl probably knew him anyway.

People let’s look @ da story from both sides although its very difficult to understand it because of the way its written. I personally got a strong feeling there is foul play here. @his age this man can’t force a girl of her age to have with. The man have failed to pay her then she changed the whole story or the man might have double crossed her. I speak from experience because it happened to me. Shame to all you bandits!

The girl was not raped. She accepted to go with the man to the lodge where there were a lot of people. If she was not for the idea of having sex, she would have screamed and people around would have gone to her rescue. Leave the man alone and educate your naughty daughter.
