EXPOSED: UTH Doctors Go On Strike Demanding Pay Rise

Doctors at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka have gone on strike demanding a pay rise. Thay have not been working since Monday 0800hrs, Tumfweko understands.
However, they have been reporting to the hospital but choosing to be in whole day meeting in the UTH doctors canteen near E22.

Few specialist doctors are however working though it is clear they are not copying with the situation as there are so many patients that they have to see and attended to.

Some patients on the wards have been left unattended to since Monday.

UTH has approximately 1655 beds and 250 Baby cots. It provides a full range of primary, secondary, and tertiary health and medical services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.

In addition it serves as the country’s specialist centre recieving referrals from all over the country.

@ TUMFWEKO, your heading is totally different from what is inside. You only spoke of doctors holding meetings and not demands for pay rise. You need to communicate with them and get the truth before you post.Iam beginning to lose confidence in your articles.
