Tribalism Haunts HH; ‘Do or Die, A Tonga Must Rule Zambia Whether By Blood’
OPPOSITION United Party for National Development (UPND) Hakainde Hichilema has vowed that a Tonga must rule the nation Zambia whether other tribes want it or not, Tumfweko understands.

According to Sources within UPND, Hakainde vowed that Sata is the last ‘Bemba’ to rule Zambia.
The source disclosed that Hakainde had a meeting with Alliance for Development & Democratic President Charles Milupi to plot on how to overcome ‘Bemba’ rule.

But what Hakainde and Milupi seem not to know is that no Bemba tribe has ever ruled Zambia yet.
Hichilema and the UPND have failed to deal convincingly with the perception that the UPND is an ethnic party whose dominance rests in Southern province. Be it in the guise of the ANC or UPND, there is a persistent perception by many other Zambians, that Southern province has its own party, and that party is for its own province. Hakainde’s ascendancy to UPND presidency was fued with tribalism;
*. The manner in which HH rose to the UPND presidency after the death of founding party leader Mazoka in 2006. A number of Tonga-speaking people insisted that it was a must that a Tonga succeeds the late Anderson Kambila Mazoka.

Instead of HH deferring his bid for the presidency and endorsing then acting party president Sakwiba Sikota, a Lozi, as the party’s presidential candidate in 2006, Hichilema enthusiastically responded to the demand for a Tonga president. This reinforced an image of Tonga particularism on both the part of Hichilema and the UPND, and has further alienated him from non-Tonga speaking people to date

This is madness of the highest order one again! How can it be that HH is the only tribalist in Zambia when those in power are practising it daily through all appointments? I guess we should as Zambians stop playing tribe. My experience so far shows that the largest tribes suffer most if there is tribal war. Just think of it, how well represented or spread are the small tribes accross Zambia? What about the large ones? If civil war breaks out who will suffer? This reporting of We are undertaning etc is ******! Let reporters be factual!

We shall not relent using brutal force to beat them any time they raise their ugly heads.We shall however appoint some of them in our govt to subdue their own. Nkumbula failed, Mungoni Liso failed, Mainza Chona had the opportunity but he gave it away,Daniel Munkombwe has no diection,Elijah mudenda was Kaunda,s ,bootleaker Mazoka died with the dream , Haachupuka has given up, Haapunda Haapunda was close but too far, Ben Mwiinga tried but got no where, David Matongo has given up. Why ?

I ask UPND. Is it true that you have that law which says ‘ONLY A TONGA CAN LEAD the party? if it is true, you have a mountain to climb. Even Lozis will be careful to suppoert you (the Saki/Chisanga experience).

History will gonna repeat itself.A brilliant and intelligent Nkumbula failed to live his dreams coz of the tag”tribal” Ascending to power by spilling blood will not make that particular tribe govern this country.What we beleive is that Zambia is one.No political party here in Zambia will win national elections without the involvement of the bemba pipo.Am not a bemba,am an easterner myself,truthfully ,statistically none will ever win.Numerically bembas have a large influence in todys Zambian politics. For example,one can win the whole of western province together with southern including n/western but still lose the elections.That is a fact which should be understood by a true politician not just yapping.

Pliz let us run away from being tribal at all costs.Tribalism has very very devastating effects if we embrace it.
Brothers let us learn from the troubles that happened in Rwanda not too long ago.
Let us choose leaders who will embrace all zambians and not a particular tribe.
