12 Lozi’s Arrested For Tearing Zambian Constitution
The Zambia Police have arrested 12 people in Western province for allegedly having torn the draft Constitution last week.
Police spokesperson Elizabeth Kanjela has told Qfm News in a statement that the 12 suspects are all male aged between 18 and 35 years old and have been charged with two counts of malicious damage contrary to section 335 and conduct likely to cause breach of peace contrary to section 187 cap 87 of the laws of Zambia.
And Ms Kanjela the police during the weekend also recorded seven accidents countrywide in which ten people died and further recorded four cases of defilement, one robbery and a murder case.
And the police have today arrested a 22 year old man for allegedly murdering his wife.
Ms Kenjela says the suspect has been identified as David Mukuka of old Kanyama Compound while the deceased is Gabby Moonga aged 19 years of the same aboard.
Mukuka has been charged with murder contrary to section 200 cap 87 of the laws of Zambia and will appear in court soon.

Is there any law in that same constitution which says you cannot tear that newpaper containing parts of the draft constitution?.Then all marketeers are guilty because they use that same paper to sell kapenta and tomato at the markets,can govt build more jails to arrest all marketeers otherwise leave the 12 disciples alone

They were cheated by Sata and PF and now they are frustrated. They rioted and they were arrested and the same liers set them free. Why arrest them now? Tearing the constitution is one thing
the reason for tearing it is another, very important. if one doesnt have a tissue to use and they use the constitution instead, that may be understandable. if one tears it because of the hatred they have against the ruling party, then that will cause an outcry. simple

An offence or penalt is not defined in the constitution but in the penal code. So its wrong to say there’s no offence regarding tearing of the draft constitution in public

its absurd how people want their selfish desires to be satisfield at the expense of the country. clearly its the barosteland thing which has prompted these people to go into such unruly and irresponsible behaviour.in all pespective why do the western province people want to be granted such entitlements? Do they really know that their cheif is not the most important of all?
