Don’t Peddle Lies, Opposition UPND-MMD Told

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) media and publicity director Chanda Mfula has advised the opposition against using the media to peddle lies and unconstructive criticism at the expense of contributing to national development.

Mr Mfula said it is disappointing that the United Party for National Development (UPND) and MMD have continued to rush to the media when they already know that they allegedly have nothing to offer to the nation.

He said in a statement issued in Lusaka yesterday it is unfortunate that the two opposition leaders have decided to spend most of their time criticising the programmes being implemented by government instead of supporting efforts aimed at improving people’s living standards.

“It has become fashionable for the MMD and UPND to speak to the media at all times even when they really have nothing of value to tell the nation,” Mr Mfula said.

Mr Mfula said the campaign the MMD and UPND are allegedly pushing down the throats of the unwilling citizens is both untimely and unnecessary.

“The two parties need to realise that as a country, we cannot live in an election spirit every day. They should therefore allow the citizens some decent space to interact with government in a sober environment than polluting the air with warped political rhetoric,” he said.

Mr Mfula said it will be in the interest of MMD and UPND leaders to start recovering from their ‘addiction’ to elections and give President Sata and the PF space to continue with the progress the country is now making towards improving people’s welfare.

Its true we expect real and constructive criticisms from the opposition not these tribal sentiments we are seeing everyday.
When HH reminded HMCS over execcive loadshedding in the country, we all agreed to say HH has now started thinking like a politician.
The same should apply to those who frequent this site for updates, let’s contribute constructively, this was suppose to be a site to educate and inspire others and not for insults and show hatred for othere .

Mr Mfula jst work to fulfil the promises made. the job of opposition is to talk on your weakness, not to support you, you should understand that.the true opposition will never support u because they also want to rule.you work while they talk, then people will judge you in 2016.thats my advice man
