KK’s Wife Betty Kaunda, Dies Aged 84

Mama Betty Kaunda passed on last night (Tuesday) in Harare, Zimbabwe.
She was 84 years old.
Former first Lady and first republican President Dr Kenneth Kaunda’s wife Betty has died.
Dr Kaunda’s first born son Colonel Panji Kaunda has confirmed the death of his mother to QFM News this morning.
Colonel Kaunda who is also communication,transport, works and supply deputy Minister says Mama Betty died in a Harare hospital in the early hours of this morning.
She had gone to Zimbabwe to visit her daughter.
He says the family is still awaiting details of the cause of death for Zambia’s former first Lady.
Mama Betty Kaunda was suppose to celebrate her 84th birthday on 17th November this year.
she recently together with her husband Dr Kenneth Kaunda celebrated their 66th marriage anniversary.
