Republican president Micheal Sata and some senior government officials were on hand to receive the body of the late mama Betty at Kenneth Kaunda international airport in Lusaka this afternoon.

She was a real first lady and up to now i cant explain the respect i hold for our dear father KK and his family. He managed to bring up his children in a very respectable way, not like the castros of this world. May the Humble soul of mama betty rest in eternal peace

If she was a fredom icon. she should have been honoured publicly like mama kankasa….when she was alive….I didnt need to be there….i could have seen on Tv….but nothing like that until her death…..then i wake up one morning shes dead and i hear all manner of praise,,,,fredom icon…..etc lets honour pipo publicly when they are alive and be honest instead of waitng for them to die and then start calling them names we never heard of while they lived…i rest my case…

Behind a succesful married man there is a supportive and courageous wife. Kaunda was a great freedom fighter so was Betty. Hence Betty was a great Freedom fighter period! May her soul rest in eternal peace. My sincere condolences to all peace loving Zambians and the entire KK family for the loss of Mama Betty. Let us all look up to God through Jesus in these trying moments.
