Commenting on the PF government’s one year anniversary, Mulongoti who was Works and Supply Minister in the MMD adminstration said the PF had not performed to the nation’s expectation in their one year of being in office.
Mulongoti who resigned from the Rupiah Banda cabinet and went on to help the PF in their campaigns ahead of the 2011 general elections said President Sata and his party appear not be equal to the task of running Zambia.
“The job seems to be too big for Sata and his government. It’s very-very big for them,” noted Mulongoti in a telephone interview with The Supreme Times.
He also charged that the PF was not ready for power.
“Running the country has really been a challenge for them. I really do not think President Sata and his party were ready to govern. They were used to be in the opposition,” said Mulongoti.
Mulongoti also noted that the PF had failed to deliver most of their campaign promises.
He further stated that the ruling party should not boast about scrapping user fees in hospitals because the move had created more problems than solutions.
Mulongoti called on the PF to address the issue of unemployment seriously.
But Mulongoti said he was hoping the PF will settle down by 2016.

PF does not believe in free advise. They want their cadres to subdue the others and start ruling the streets through their cadres and lip service violence.

I have found it enormous value when I permit myself to understand the other person. When someone expresses some feelings, attitude, or belief, our tendency is almost immediately to feel “that is not right, or that is ****** or that is abnormal or that is unreasonable or that is nice etc.” Very rarely do we permit ourselves to understand precisely what the statement is to the other person. Please tupac na toli mwana’musokwe consider toning down to the elderly people like Mike.

Mulongoti fought for Rupiah to take over from Mwanawasa at the expense of other preferred MMD leaders. He later regretted for his poor conceptual skills. Thereafter, he vehemently supported PF but tells us that PF was not ready for power. If at all PF had appointed him cabinet minister, was he going to resign or disclose what he is telling us? Let him even bury his presidential ambitions because it is not worth being led by such an inconsistent fella, who lacks conceptual skills and seems to imply that the MMD rule was far much better than the current one simply because he was a minister. He simply has no appeal to a common Zambian but either to the elite or to his own belly.

Mulongoti was burying his head in the sand when PF was campaigning. Now these (his) comments are real and he needs to be commended. For those of you who think one year isn’t enough, you are in for a shock! you will come again at the end of 2012 cry out loudest for non performance of PF. Time to criticize is now for those of you who have just seen one change of govt. This is my fifth govt i am witnessing and i know what i am talking about. Zambians wake up!!!
