Zambia should be able to beat Nigeria this time around. Zambia lose to Nigeria only because they give them too much respect. Come on Zambia wake up!

October 25, 2012 at 6:12 am
Should Zambia play da standard played during previous AFCON, den I fear no team, but should a repeat occur of wat I saw during da qualifiers, den we shall come up last in group C & be elimanated in early stages. I thnk Denis Liwewe had a point dat we shouldn’t depend on 1 player. Its high time coach resolve his problems with Clifford Mulenga. All da best boys.

For us to defend the cup successfully, we will need to beat any oposition. Any team that qualified is equaly good. We need to prepare adequately and work hard for each game, respecting every oponent we meet, especialy that we wiLl be the team to beat, it will not be easy. Go Zambia Go!!

Ati elo yateka!… na kalila! AFCON 2013 wont be like 2012, that we were not under pressure whatsoever we played just to play and go as far as we possibly could, this time around its totally diff, from the very first whistle in the very first game we start defending the cup, do you know what that means? Now sit down I tell you… (first inyeko akasushi… ee!) Zambia will be on the spot light and THEY (Ivory Coast & Ghana especially) want to prove that Chipolopolo are a fluke champions so they will play to break a leg, and if what I saw in Kampala is a way to go by… even Ethiopia will be us! Another thing this thing of ONLY Kalaba ‘the Master’ can redeem us sack the chap is very brilliant key player but what if… God forbid something happens to him prior to the games or even during the games? Anyway, Go BOYZ we will be with you even if we are not in Zambia. Go Chipolopolo Go!

“Bring them on” who ever they may be, big name or small names, we are also a big name in football, ivory coast have to worry about going through the group stage first. Nigeria is just a name they are not a force to reckon with with. Zambia’s performance should not worry us, they will have enough time to prepare than the few days all they were spending together, my only worry is that this time around Zambia’s success will make our Coach recieve very serious offers that will be hard for him to refuse especially after he qualifies the team to the world cup as well

Could we get this straight VOLTRON says us being in group C we will meet group D while Roga Roga says A will be paired with C in the knockout stages. Which is which here?
Anyway whatever the case that shouldn’t be any issue, a game of football is played and won on the pitchwith eleven players from each team. Names have nothing to do with winning. We won the 2012 AFCON with nonentities who have been together now for some time. That’s a plus on our side. I also agree with TimZ and the rest that the likes of Clifford Mulenga, Jacob Mulenga should be slotted in to beef up the front line where we seem to have some hiccups.
I am comfortable with the pair of Sunzu and HH as central defenders, we just have to research more for both the left and right flanks. And we need a goal poacher, I hope Mayuka will have settled then

Qualification to the second stage will be easy. The bullets will just have to seriously beat Ethiopia and B/faso.They will then proceed to the second stage with Nigeria. Planning shud start now.Which teams to avoid, etc is all part of planning.Leading yr group or coming second shud all be in the plans. Gud luck. This will be a tough one for the bullets.

Naimwe….Zambia and Nigeria will qualify from Group C, but the issue is if we come second then we face Group D winners which probable will be Ivory Coast. Nevertheless, a replay will be interesting….. DD will be taught a lessen before he retires…

There is no team Nigeria has that can even in a small way threaten zambia not even a bit.nigeria must be shocked by now that the waste thing has happened.Cliford mulenga must be in the team without compromise.

Nigeria have learnt their lesson, and they sure as hell would never under-estimate anyteam ever again.
Nigeria have started rebuilding again, and they have a great bunch of players.
Any thing short of Nigeria topping the group would make the Nigerian fans turn on them.
They would not be satisfied with just qualifying.
They have always been semi-finalists,except for the last Afcon, where they under-estimated guinea and did not qualify.
Zambia has a war on their hands if they want to qualify, let alone top the group.

Correction from Group C it will be Zambia and Ethiopia. Nigeria is a finished team. We should whack them 5-1 like we did one time in Ndola. You fans Stop worrying about other teams and focus on yourselves. Whether we meet Ivory Coast or Tunisia we will triumph

October 25, 2012 at 2:06 pm
yes guys let us support our team. let them prepare adequately this time. Clifford should be included in the team. we are still lucking strikers Chris didn’t do well against Uganda let him prepare adequately. we need his soldier mentality on the pitcher not lazing around on the pitch. jacob mulenga we need him this time and fwayo tembo.
zambians forget easily
October 25, 2012 at 2:45 pm
there is no way you can compare Nigeria to the champions of Africa Zambia. Zambia are by far better than Nigeria. @ Mensah, you know very little about football. you are the only one with a different view. that is a very dull way of analysing the game. Nigeria are actually dead scared of Zambia. 9 points for Zambia

Tue 15 November 2011, Nigeria won Zambia 2-0 in international friendly match. In Tunisia AFCON 1994, Nigeria won Zambia 2-0. In Angola AFCON 2010, Nigeria won Zambia through penalty. Nigeria is not Zambia size in football

Goody and Cusu you know little about football. You must be kids from Kano. The history of Zambia Vs Nigeria doesnt start in 1994. Here are some results to educate you:
On 28th October 1973 inLusaka Zambia 5:1 Nigeria
Nigeria won the return leg 3:2 but we eliminated the Super Eagles from the AFCON finals of 1974 On 18th August 1985 again we eliminated the Eagles from 86 AFCON when we beat them 1-0 in Lusaka after drawing 0-0 in Lagos In one AFCON final Chipolopolo beat Nigeria 3-0
