Nigeria’s Keshi Happy to Face Zambia

Stephen Keshi

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has described the 2013 Africa Cup draw that will see the Super Eagles face reigning champions Zambia in Group C as fair.

The Nigerian trainer who has had a fair run against the Chipolopolo as player and also as coach said the Super Eagles will treat all their opponents with respect.

“It is a fair group we just have to get ourselves prepared,” he said.

“Any team that has qualified to this tournament is an outstanding team and we just have to treat them with a lot of concentration in the game.”

Zambia has been drawn in Group C alongside Nigeria, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.

The African champions will open their account with a fixture against Ethiopia.

NIGERIA is scared of GHANA. ZAMBIA beat GHANA twice in their immediate last meetings. So, the truth, Stephen Keshi is scared straight of ZAMBIA but the consolation is that the other two teams are fairly beatable by NIGERIA to be among top two teams for the next round. But he can be surprised by ETHIOPIA.

Why U Zambians talk too much. Nigerians are business minded people, we believe in action. We respect Zambia as the current AFCON champion but remember many countries have Being AFCON champion before Zambia. Nigeria have won Zambian in AFCON 1994, AFCON 2010. Also in 15 November 2011, Nigeria won Zambia 2-0 in international friendly match. If i may ask how many Zambia players play football in Europe that Nigeria will be afraid of to play. Currently Nigeria have better players in European clubs. Just kindly look at this list: Victor Moses ( Chelsea Fc, England), Mikel Obi( Chelsea FC England), Victor Anachebe( Everton FC, England), Joe Obi (Inter millan, Italy), Ogbonna Nwankwo( Lazio, Italy), Nedum Onuoha( QPR, England), Peter Odewing( West brom, England), Obiora Nwanwko, Lazio, Italy), Obafemi Matins( Levente, Spain), Ahmad Musa( Spartac Mosco, Russia), Emmanuel Emmenike( sparac Mosco, Russia), Shola Amobi( Newcasttle, England), Sidney Sam( Leverkusen, Germany), Taye Tawio(Fanabache, Turkey), Joseph Yobo( Fanabache, Turkey), Ike Uche( Malaga, Spain), Efe Ambrose ( Celtic, Scoltland), and many unaccountable Nigeria players in better club in Europe. The dream of any African player is to play in Europe, make name and make money. Can u name one Zambia player that playing in Europe?

Goody, never judge a book by its cover. You think we are champions by accident. Better ask drogba my friend.Football is not by the speed of your mouth but by the mental state of players and agility of expressing yourself on the day.Names my friend are a fallacy. If you allow players to express their talent through money then they are a wasted non skilled lot whose pedigree no one wants to watch. Come and watch Zambia on that day,you agree with me that time for sure will tell

Goody, my brother to start with your english is so bad. Secondly, all the stars that you have mentioned failed to help you qualify for AFCON 2012 which was won by Zambia. My point is, it takes more than just having good players to win trophies at national level. The Nigerian players do not give their all when playing for the national team because like you rightly pointed out, they are business men interested in money and not national pride and glory. They do not want to risk any injury playing for the national team for fear of loosing out on the dallars at their clubs. The Chipolopolo on the other side are a team playing for national pride and glory.

    You are parading finished players:
-Victor moses, not regular player of chelsea
-Michael Obi, one and off player
    -joe obi, just a name
    -O.Nwanko, only known by nigerians
    -V.Anachebe, at least can perform

The rest are ordinary players playing in low leagues.

Besides, you have just qualified and these players have been around all the time. This means they are not dependables. You can lose lose any time.

@ Chipolopolo, It’s football anything can happen. Nigerians have learned from their mistakes. That was why Nigeria beat noise making Liberia team 6-1 to qualified for AFCON 2013. Remeber that Egypt have won AFCON 7 times and Cameroon 4 times but they failed to qualified 2012 and 2013. The list of young Nigeria players in European Leagues continue; Nosa Igiebor( Real Betis, Spain), Chinedu Ogbuke( Schalke O4, Germany), Brown Ideye( Dynameo Kyiv, Ukraine), Victor Nsofor( Lokomotive Moscow, Russia). Thanks brother Chipolopolo, sorry am not good in English. I grow up in Germany.

Nigeria has a population of over a hundred million thats why they can have a number of players in europe, Zambia has a population of only 13 million,
Even with that negirea has failed to win the nations cup many times like eygpt, chipolopo will teach those young nigerian players a lesson

Goody,Goody, Goody have you forgotten that playing in an African football competition is not same as playing in European league? Ask Drogba of Cotevore he will tell you more.Your Europen based players will be playing the African campions, meaning the best team on the African Continent. You get it?

Zambia stand a better chance over Nigeria. Zambia played wat I cud call giants of africa I mean Ivory coast with all their big names in, but wat happened we got the cup with our small names. The best result Nigeria can get frm Zambia is a draw. Goody forget about big clubs like The great Chelsea my team cause u can not campare the composition of chelsea & that of Nigeria. I respect wat u think, but do not be 2 optmistic. Gud day my brother.

I’m Zambian.. to predict a score-line now between US (chipolopolo) and Nilas Kings is naive… On paper Nigeria has better players than us… And this will be Nelpruit (RSA) and not Gabon…where we had a 12th player (as per Drogba!!!)… As i stay in Jozi,,, I will drive and watch the games in Nelspruit… See u there gals and boys..

the Zambia that i saw struggle against Uganda was an utter disgrace to the glory of that tile “African Champions” i could not decipher how low the standards of Africa have fallen, gone are the days when the real/worthy teams played football at the highest levels imaginable in the most deserving light of African glory…those days when a glorious Nigerian team thrashed world class teams like Argentina and Brazil including Mexico win the gold Olympics…a feat no other Africa country save for Cameroon in Sydney Olympics have managed to replicate…there is no doubt that Nigeria will beat Zambia,it is only a question of how many goal margins!!! cheap “chipololo”(what a ****** name) frozen bullets
