HH Threatens To Take SATA, Jere to ICJ

UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has threatened to submit names of President Michael Sata and deputy Inspector General of Police Solomon Jere to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for alleged selective justice and violation of human rights.

Mr Hichilema said at a media briefing in Lusaka yesterday that despite President Sata having immunity he would submit his name to the ICJ, and the same applied to Dr Jere whom he attacked on accusations of selectively harassing opposition political members.

But Chief Government spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni said there was no crisis in Zambia that would warrant the attention of the ICJ.

Mr Sakeni, who is Information and Broadcasting Services Minister, advised Mr Hichilema not to trivialise operations of the ICJ by claiming that the situation in the country had deteriorated.

He disputed assertions that Zambia had a crisis which required the attention of the ICJ and advised Mr Hichilema not to mislead the international community by making false alarms.

“He (Hichilema) is a wrong person to start talking about the ICJ. If he doesn’t understand how it operates, he should just keep quiet and concentrate on preparing for the 2016 general elections. As Government we will continue on the development path we have taken for the country instead of listening to continued attacks from the opposition,” Mr Sakeni said.

Mr Hichilema said his party members did not take part in the fracas that took place in Rufunsa where a Patriotic Front (PF) member Menyani Zulu lost his life.

On the arrest of party members including Lusaka Province chairperson, Adrian Bauleni, Mr Hichilema said the action amounted to of harassment.

Mr Hichilema speaking from his party secretariat in Rhodespark accused Government of using the police to ‘silence’ the opposition through arrests.

On his party’s relations with the MMD , Mr Hichilema said he would address issues of concern between the two parties through a meeting unlike discussing matters through the media.

“I will not discuss through the media, I prefer we discuss any matters in a meeting and find a way forward. I campaigned in Mufumbwe with other party members for the MMD candidate and in most areas where he claimed victory, I was on the ground campaigning,” he said.

HH, include yourself on the list to be submitted to the ICJ as well for being a chief international tribalist who wants to bring civil war among bemba’s and tonga’s in our country and for not allowing bemba’s in your small Bantustan party.

If only you knew how you irritate the majority Zambians, you would certainly have zipped your mouth permanently.

The ICC has issued a warrant of arrest to UPND Leader HH for being the worst international tribalist of the world.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of HH should report to Mr. Solomon Jere so that the chap is arrested and handed over to the Hague in the Netherlands.

    Jurisdiction of the ICJ

The International Court of Justice acts as a world court. The Court has a dual jurisdiction : it decides, in accordance with international law, disputes of a legal nature that are submitted to it by States (jurisdiction in contentious cases); and it gives advisory opinions on legal questions at the request of the organs of the United Nations or specialized agencies authorized to make such a request (advisory jurisdiction).

What does this reveal about HH’s intellectualism?

HH seems to be suffering from some condition that makes him have amnesia and speech incontinent. He talks not knowing what he said a few minutes, hours or days ago. Does he understand what the ICJ does and how it handles matters? Let me educate the man a bit. The International Court of Justice, also known as the World Court, is the main judicial organ of the UN. Its 15 judges are elected by the General Assembly and the Security Council, voting independently and concurrently. The Court decides disputes between countries, based on the voluntary participation of the States concerned. If a State agrees to participate in a proceeding, it is obligated to comply with the Court’s decision. The Court also gives advisory opinions to the United Nations and its specialized agencies. The issue is between states. The states have to agree to be party to the proceeding. So what is the basis for this man to bring in the ICJ. The man has a problem.

Its a pity that all of us suffer from the same disease called Arrogance. Politics have become a daily bread for all of us Zambians. we have centered all our attention in one area and are therefore not progressing. Why should we spend our time on issues that wont revamp our economy. Fighting against one onother wont bring economic development to this country at all. We have so much hatred for one onother within ourselves such as we keep on poking one onother in the eye. I blame the youth that are always used in such situations. I blame you for wasting time posting insults on such websites. associate your selves with the wise and become literate on how to handle issues. Iam so tired of petty politics and people that are so selfish and care about their well being only. Let dirty politicians fight against one onother and Let us the youth who are still young and youthfull work hard for our future and our children’s future.Iam.
