Morality of Facebook Accounts: A Case Study among Commercial Sex Workers (CSW) along Dunduza Street, Longacres
Dear Editor,
And the people of Good will, my beloved Zambians. Allow me to aim my research on what is lying behind Facebook Accounts.
To begin, I would like to state that Facebook in itself is good and how we use it brings moral questions. It is great mode of communication that is fast and has contributed to the less cutting of tress to do mails.
What was behind my research: my main aim: How useful is Facebook among Zambian Youth or Adults.
Findings:- (Men): Most men put status single as means of getting of ladies, young girls who are in search for love and husbands.
Women: the status single signifies the following: (1) A way of voiding men who trouble women. (2) Most females -X student from X University said, “We put single because we want men who can meet our needs and wants. Our needs and want are: maintaining our cellphones, maintaining our wardrobes; buying us cars as you can see it’s a trend that we have so many cars on the road because we date ministers, businessmen, etc.
Honestly, both men and women cheat. “We females” cheat most because of what I have mentioned and wanting to be update with fashion and others. We even buy clothes to maintain our “Real men whom we leave behind”. Our real men who look old fashioned when it comes to dressing.
Class of clients: Our clients (Miss X aged 19) range from Ambassadors, Ministers, few pastors, doctors from UTH, few of students coz they are “Johns come and eat.” We are stationed along this street because it’s near Up-mwambazi.
Regrets: One lady said, “Sadly our clients refuse to use condoms and say it’s a waste of time. Doctors saying it’s a waste of time and have medicines to keep them going….Sad indeed.”
Moral questions: Do you use Facebook to enrich self, or protect self or lie to others through your status? Just asking. Is it true that women are self-centered when it comes to the usage of Facebook, thus wants to enrich them? Reply from the CSW replied, “Yes and No! But we need to quantity this. Be it students or married people, most singles from school lie.”
If Zambia is a Christian Nation as it claims, Should we give ZICTA and other civil organization mandate to criminalize those who use Facebook with ill intentions?

Stop misleading people iwe, immorality has always been there long before facebook was born! Facebook is a very good tool and its purpose is very well outlined and if anybody tries to use it to promote immorality, simply have those reported and their plan will be removed. Immorality is there in Zed because of primitiveness amongst the people!

Hw does a complete research report fit on this fb space? Hw many wil read it til the end? The fact tht its both criticized en praised is an apt indication tht its adding to the body of knowledge. If only we submit such daily, we wil b directing the attention of sons of the soil towards good. I neva knew for example tht em sisters nw ply their merchandise in Longacres? And am not the only one? mr tembo,ican see morals caming into public,facebook is wicked site but cnt be buned,we can resist the pressures that come with it by being carefull with who we interact with.the world it moving with techno.cant do away with quickest mode of comunication but nid to do awaywith malfunctional aspect(lies)that cn easily defect our morals ZICTA has to chip in with system controls.thanx man am happy u came out….
