Dora Siliya Told To Start Dressing Properly in Parliament

DEPUTY Speaker of the National Assembly Mkhondo Lungu has cautioned Petauke Central member of Parliament Dora Siliya over her dressing. Mr Lungu on Thursday said MPs should dress properly in Parliament.
The Deputy Speaker said it is against Parliamentary etiquette for a member to be improperly dressed while attending sessions in chambers, as this demeans the status of the House.
Mr Lungu, however, exercised restraint on Ms Siliya and just advised her to dress properly as she comes to Parliament in future.
The Deputy Speaker’s caution followed a point of order raised by deputy minister of youth and sport and Mongu Central MP Nathaniel Mubukwanu (Patriotic Front), who demanded to know if Ms Siliya was in order to enter the chambers while “improperly” dressed.
Ms Siliya wore a tight black skirt, green silver sleeveless body top, black high-heeled shoes and silver bangles which matched her ear rings.
Mr Mubukwanu raised the point of order when Ms Siliya, who is former Minister of Transport and Communications, was on the floor of the House contributing to the 2013 budget of expenditure and estimates for the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.
In his ruling, Mr Lungu said MPs are not in order to enter Parliament while improperly dressed as this goes against parliamentary etiquette.
“I want to once again urge the honourable members of Parliament to come to Parliament properly dressed to avoid breaching parliamentary rules and procedures,” he said.
A jacket and tie are compulsory for male MPs while female MPs are required to cover up properly.

You can bet on it, more than half of all times the only thing going round and round in the head of an average Zambian is having illegal adultery or fornication, as we would say “mwa puo ya hetsu kuli ku isoma”. Now tell me, just how are you going to combat the AIDS scourge, how? This starts with the president himself, Zondwe was there launching his “zero saladi” todger between those stinking AIDS infected legs and bokkosi only two weeks ago when Kaseba eloped from Plot 1 with her sizzling Linyungandambo UTH doctor.

we are talking about the increase of rape and defilement cases in Zambia this can not be prevented if elderly women do not dress properly. what can peter kalyati fail to rape Dora Siliya if he can defile his 9 year old step daughter. Ba Dora men in parliament do not debate effectively because their concentration is on your beautiful thys atemwa (ifibelo fyenu. For munkondo lungu to make a comments mwachilamo mukwai. the out put of the debate in parliament is desturbed as most MPs especially lubansenshi and lupososhi have their eyes always on you thinking what to do with you instead fighting to eradicate poverty in their respective constituencies. please mulebikako ichitenge chaba twasosa

There is nothing wrong with Dora’s dressing in the picture above (and it does match the description in the article). The only thing wrong is perverts like you who would rather see our beautiful women covered up like in Saudi Arabia.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with Dora’s attire in this picture. All the parts of her body that need to be covered are properly covered. The Deputy Speaker’s description of how much a female MP should cover their bodies is very vague. There’s just something wwrong with the male MP who raised the point of order, and there was no need to embarasse Dora like that. Just admit the woman is beautiful; whether in short skirt or long dress/skirt. Let me advise MP Nathaniel Mubukwanu to focus on problems in Western province rather than focus on sex all the time. Give Dora some space please !!

The MP had an agenda to embarass Dora and the irrational speaker fell for it. This is the reason why the kaponya’s feel it is right to strip women naked in the street as long as they feel she is not properly dressed. Women in Zambia need to protest our freedom to dress to dress the way we want has been taken away.
