Kabimba Summons Press Briefing at 08:00 Hours Today 13/12

Following reports that the Zambian justice minister Wynter Kabimba, who is also, ruling PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has given his counterpart for foreign affairs Given Lubinda a seven day ultimatum to exculpate himself or face disciplinary action, a press briefing has been summoned for 08:00 hours today.

Kabimba, according to reports, wants to get rid of any form of competition in the PF so that he gets the top position for the 2016 elections but is receiving overwhelming resistance within and outside the party.

The nominated lawmaker has targetted defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba and Lubinda both of whom have shown early signs of being favourites for the top position within the PF, particularly the grassroots.

Kabimba and his team accused GBM of corruption so that he falls out of favour with the court of public opinion but that strategy backfired after it was met with full force by the Kasama parliamentarian.

It led to Kabimba also finding himself swimming in allegations of corruption involving an oil deal to Trafigura and his appearance at the Anti Corruption Commission has left him more shame than honour.

The PF chief executive has turned his attack on Lubinda, whom early this year was tranferred from the Ministry of Information on allegation he was campaigning to take over the PF leadership.

Kabimba’s press briefing is scheduled for either his office at the Ministry of Justice or the PF secretariat.
