Chief Nkana Removed From The Throne
Chief Nkana of the Lamba people on the Copperbelt Province has been REMOVED from the throne.
It is alleged that he did not follow the right procedure the time he succeeded.
His family and many Nkana residents rose against him and he decided to take the matter to the Kitwe High Court, but this morning he lost the case.
Due to that, the seat remain vacant as the family looks for the rightful successor.

The question that begs an answer is; who enthroned him on that seat in the first? Were the family members blind to enthrone someone who did not deserve the seat? What I know with my little knowledge is; chiefs & chieftainness follow the pattern of family tree and lineage. Full stop!!

Be weary all u chiefs if u invite the opposition to campaign in your area without a police permit u wil be sucked and the opposition party leader will also be arrested.

Agreed most chiefdoms are battling with issues of successions meaning that we are a people not so willing to change with time and unable to adopt positive ways of governance. What is wrong with coming me up with a number of people recognised and accepted as king or chief makers and that who ever they choose then becomes or come up with a group of people once again accepted by all as a possible next of kin to the chief? That is if one fears to be bewitched if only one is picked. These or this name will be submitted to the government and the next in line will be groomed by the elders for the function.
By the way the Chief Nkana issue has been in court for a long time and has nothing to do with the MMD gathering.

Having come from a royal family,I know it is impossible to unseat a ruling chief.
